Flexi 8.6v2 and 10 work on windows 7. But not Flexi 8.0 I would recommend asking for the key number and shoot it to me. I can verify the key and any upgrade options for you.

If you now have Flexi 7.6, the USB connection should not be a problem... The driver within Flexi 7.6 for the FC7000 should support the USB port on the cutter.

Use the fc5100 driver on serial or parallel port. USB connection may not work duet driver conflict

Most instance I have run with windows 7, Flexi 8.0,8.1 and sometimes 8.5 won't find ports or even connect to production manager properly. Official word is Flexi 8.6 and Flexi 10 are windows 7 compatible.

You can cut mag on the Graphtec 8000... I have applied transfer tape to the platen and metal body that contacts the mag, which allows it to slide just enough. As for blade, you only need to score the top layer of the mag and it will dull your blades quickly. I would recommend budgeting 1...

The take-up on the specsheets are referring to the liner take up. I was referring to a motorized take up for the finished product exiting the unit.
