hard to say, just attempting some problem solving. have you tired converted the spot color to cmyk or rgb and knocking the red/magenta a bit? another step, probably what you should do first, print out a swatch guide, that way you know what colors you can get and find something close to the...

there's an option for spot colors in the production manager before the rip... might try toggling the check box
