If it is currently connected to the network, try 'arp -a' from the Command prompt.
Otherwise, you will HAVE to install Roland NetTool Print Server Utility.

If possible, try connecting to different computer and install the driver there. Just to see if you can get the PC to recognize the cutter... Can not eliminate the possibility of a dead...
How long have you had the unit? What size is it? Obviously, Ike knows more about this unit than any tech as he is the designer of the unit, from top to bottom.
I have a decent amount of experience with the Daige QM4 series. Is this the Solo series or the QM4?

I hope Ike can help you out with this issue, as he has always been very good at helping me in the past with my clients. The Daige has the reputation of a love/hate relationship as far back as I can recall. Some like it, some hate it.
For me, the Daige is an option for someone stepping into...
If you are not creating your own profiles, a generic banner profile should work. Speed and quality is up to your discretion.
The brand and type of material being printed on will also influence others responses here... give us the brand and type of banner for more details on profiles.
