Do you have another media to try? banner, paper, different brand of vinyl?
Overspray can be caused by different things and static is one of them.
Cleaned the encoder strip lately?
How long is the network cable?
While directly connected to your printer, disable any wireless capabilities.
What version of Winders are you running.. I might have missed this.
Make sure you have the NWLink IPX/SPX protocol is installed for your network card, if you are using Windows XP
What version of Flexi do you have?
What Ink are you using?
Which Roland machine?
Head Height setting, hi or low?
What type of media being used?
What brand of media being used?
Last but most important, include an image of your nozzle check here for us to see.
Buy a network switch... connect both printers to the switch as well as the computer. Then as Sparky mentioned, assign different IP Addresses to the printers and you should be good.
What printer to you have and what are you intending to add?

What version of Flexi? 7.5, 7.6, 7.6v1, etc... Which crop mark settings are you using?
