Well specialty licenses to specialty licenses from my understanding are tricky.
If you have a general contractors license (top tog), then you are on top and can sub smaller license holders such as electricians, roofers, plummers, sign guys for jobs. Or since you have a General, you can do...
Stacey, you should have shed some light on the contractors license thing too (you're in FL) along with your vendor recommendation.
"We don't appreciate guys throwin' up signs they made in their garage in the middle of the night" Hey, now that has a odd twist of humor in it I can relate too
Oh you are right, thats what I get for trying to decipher from a iphone screen.
But that in itself is illegal unless you are just a salesperson for that licensed contractor and not executing a contract under Sign A Rama then sub-contracting them out for the install. This is what gets these...
Interesting.
Sign A Rama and Fast Signs are know for doing plenty of illegal work that gets them in trouble. Their HQ's promote a lot of work their franchisee's can't do on their websites and in promotional deals.
Good for you, it's a rare thing for a franchise shop to be a licensed...
Good work.
I think you should have used 2"/3" returns instead of the 5" for the exposed CL's (eaier to make out from all viewing angles, maybe even a smaller diameter CCFL glass. Then the neon would look real intense, and better clearance. I'm probably nit picking here, not my intention...
It all depends on what they say it should be and how you want it. Personally speaking, you have to add more than what they suggest on their spec sheet. Most of the time the MFG layout is pretty good.
Another thing about what little I did read that I did find comical is the 100,000 hour duration, I'd offer this 5,000 and that may be too generous.
This needs to be under "Party Favors".
8.75 watts per foot for neon??? Who wrote this thing?
This is good stuff!
Sounds like you used JT LED's, there's some odd stuff coming up with that soon. What you use now may not be available down the road, it would suck to get stuck in a service predicament.
On the LED vs Fluorescent, you won't get brighter. At least not yet. Also, if you are going to use a LED...
