  2. Disabling Epson S60600 Auto Cleaning

That's definitely true. I swear this thing has a hidden sensor that'll tell it to circulate as soon as you walk in front of it.
  3. Disabling Epson S60600 Auto Cleaning

Assuming the S60 runs the same as the S80, the amount of ink wasted during cleaning is so tiny it's not worth worrying about. I can count on one hand how many times I've emptied the waste bottle on ours over the last year. Meanwhile our Rolands I'd probably have to use my toes to count, and...
  4. S80600 w/Onyx. How to print more white?

    generally smaller than 12x12.
  5. S80600 w/Onyx. How to print more white?

The ultimate goal would be to get enough white down on clear material so I can print a color and have it not change when I put it on something that's not white. Like if I'm putting a sticker on a blue truck, I want the blue of the truck to show through in places without the blue changing the...
  6. S80600 w/Onyx. How to print more white?

I'm talking crop marks created in Illustrator using the Summa plugin. I just change that layer to the spot color for the epson.
  7. Printing on frosted vinyl

I did a job on Oracal 8710 with our epson s80600 and it worked great. I couldn't scratch it without really trying
  8. Anyone have the Roll Up add on?

We got it and it's been a lifesaver on my last 2 jobs. One was about 750 yds of 36" prints, and this one has been 150 yds of 14" prints. I had a heck of a time trying to get it to roll up full jobs, so I broke them into smaller jobs cutting with Winplot.
  9. Kala Laminator - New Slitters

it's made out of plastic? That leaves an awful lot of room for flex. The one on our Seal is all metal and works really well. I've done over 500 yds in the last month, slitting both sides with no problems.
  10. Clear, solvent printable vinyl with air-egress?

This particular project would be going on plastic, and they want the color of the plastic to show through as much as possible.
  11. Clear, solvent printable vinyl with air-egress?

Pretty much what I was guessing. Wet install wouldn't be a problem, but they're small items that the customer wants to be able to apply themselves, and they're not going to want to do wet. I'll have to take a look at that, thanks.
  12. Clear, solvent printable vinyl with air-egress?

I'm looking for a clear vinyl I can print on my epson s80600, that has air-egress so it can be applied dry and removed. As close to optically clear as possible, even if it takes a couple days for it to wet out. I've tried ij180mc-114, but the air channels never really seem to wet out like I...
  13. Reading reg marks with chrome vinyl

If you're only using the little square marks and not the barcode, you can cut a square out of white vinyl, like 10mm or so, with a 3mm square in the middle. Place that square over the reg mark.
  14. Question Dust management & Lamination

We use Gerson tack cloths in our paint shop, so that's what I use when laminating and printing to clean the material. https://www.gersonco.com/product-category/tack-cloths/
  15. S80600 w/Onyx. How to print more white?

I haven't printed a whole lot of white since then. I still never really got it to be a really bright white like I had hoped. I've mostly been using it for registration marks on dark materials, and it's worked pretty well for that.
  16. Max print/cut width on S2 T160

One way to do it would be to use Winplot and the Summa plugin in illustrator. You can add crop marks to your art in illustrator and Winplot reads them. You can manually move those crop marks closer to your print, and save the cutpath out as a separate file. That's how I print/cut super close...
  17. Kala Laminator - Review Needed

We have a 62 Pro D, and it's part of the "productivity package" or something like that, but can be purchased by itself too. It bolts on to the support bar behind the top roller. It's nothing special really, just 2 blade holders on a slide that you can position anywhere, and the blades snap...
  18. Kala Laminator - Review Needed

our Seal has a trimmer option that we purchased afterwards and I installed it myself. It works pretty good, although I occasionally run into issues with any laminate overhanging sticking to the pull roller and getting wound up on that if I'm not paying attention.
  19. Motorized take-up system thoughts?

That'd be nice, haven't found that setting though. If anyone with a summa knows what setting to change I'd appreciate it!
  20. Motorized take-up system thoughts?

got off the phone with Airmark tech support, and no, there's not a way for it to take up while checking the size of material. That's a bit disappointing....how do people do long cuts on these?
