  1. HP L26500 Pros/Cons

You'll like it. A lot of the threads about the 25500 still are relevant to the 26500. We've had both machines, they share a lot of the same hardware and also some of the same sort of issues. The 26500 has some decent improvements over the 25 like glossy ink, better take up system, a little...
  2. Windows 8? Do you like it?

I see windows 8 as possibly the biggest failure Microsoft has ever made. First off I personally hate the ribbon menu that was originally used in office. That is now in explorer (file explorer they call it now). My biggest complaint though by far is the invasion of the metrol UI. Again...
  3. New Microsoft Logo - Uninspired?

The direction microsoft is going is sickening. I haven't liked metro UI since it came out for the zune. Just wait till the train wreck that will be windows 8. This logo just confirms their devotion to this new look.

  5. to use RAID or not to use RAID

In your situation I would say Raid 1 as minimum. This is sort of the rule of thumb for any machine you consider a server and require fault tolerance. And No, Raid (1 at least) is not considered a "backup" in that it is intended to protect data on disk in the event of a disk failure while...

  7. Why does Sign Warehouse have to suck?

Sign warehouse has some serious order logistic issues. We will place orders and not get them for weeks with no notification, very hit and miss support. For reliable dependable service we call advantage or fellers.
  8. Used UV Flatbed

The agfa isnt what you want then. The belt does walk. Read my old post about our Agfa m4F experiences. Check out the hp fb500, the belt is locked in place and you can get pretty good registration with it. Other machines to consider Oce,Fuji, and CET
  9. Companies who use Google Adwords

Rather than respond line by line to some of the comments above, there is some real ignorance about online advertising and marketing in general in this thread. Adwords is EXTREMELY powerful and effective, IF you know how to use it. You will literally throw money into a black hole if you aren't...
  10. Discussion: RIP that calculates vinyl cutting time

I re read the OP and see he keeps using the word RIP, Onyx as a RIP does show the print time, but not cut time.
  11. Discussion: RIP that calculates vinyl cutting time

    Onyx Postershop does do that.
  12. Jeti parts from Agfa Guess how much..

Just my opinion but it appears Agfa's acquisition of pitman just closed the loop in their distribution chain allowing them to charge whatever prices they want for their equipment, oem ink, and consumables. Right before we sold our Anapurna M our supplier informed us they would not be able to get...
  13. Decent price on l25500?

We do, and I don't think you could get away with it. The new ink set is a lot more glossy, so much so when we first got it and started using it we thought the ink wasn't cured right. It was cured fine! It is just that much more glossy.
  14. Jeti parts from Agfa Guess how much..

In our short year as Agfa customers we found out that they will bend you over if you are out of service and have to buy parts. It is INSANE indeed. Even their lamps compared to what we pay now for our hp were about 3x as much.
  15. FB500 and Aluminium Materials

what Dice said.. We've run into a few materials like Omegabond which FB ink will NOT stick to, probably the same for other brands also.
  16. Recommend ecosolvent printer/cutter

A friend of mine was in a similar situation as you. After helping him look and visiting a show we decided on the CJV30. He has had it now for a 5-6 months, it is a very nice machine that fits his needs well. It prints fast enough he has a lot of capacity to grow into. The thing to keep in...
  17. Any UV Flatbed printer suggestions?

Just a heads up...this question gets asked about once a month it seems. So give the search a try or browse back through the flatbed forum for some good info. Artbot summed it up pretty well though
  18. M3000 Router: Issues with 1/8 Chuck Recognition

There is a procedure to add a new tool. There are several steps and if you haven't done it before as Tony suggested, call customer support. I have the reference doc showing how to do it if you want it. Just pm me your email. If you are using frontend you should consider moving to artpath.
