Something internal on the board is probably overheating. A resistor or capacitor. I have and old HS15 with the same problem. Never fixed it...put it in a closet.
I had a friend/client come to me with an old clock face. He likes to do his own restorations, so I found the right font for the numbers and did a digital print. (Link to original thread)

And before/ after photos.
(I always gently wipe my prints with a soft, lint-free cloth as they are feeding into the laminator, but it STILL happens.)
Use a tack cloth, for picking up sawdust before finishing. A soft lint free cloth just pushes the crap around.
Did this one last year. The letters are about five feet tall and the Gladiator was fifteen feet tall. Building was 110 feet wide. Blue letters have a small yellow outline....All paint.

IT WORKED AWESOME!!! I used it a lot for sandblasted signs. Then, one day it just quit. I have yet to buy another but it's on my list. Electric spray guns are junk. And HVLP guns that are hooked up to compressed air are a joke. Get a real...
I did a bunch of these a few years ago. Client wanted 24'' x 24'' round real estate signs. I made a circle cutting jig for the band saw, Cut 3mm BeBond and installed a print to each side. I also created the rider signs on the bottom that had a curve in the top. Installed grommets for hanging.
I probably shouldn't have included that photo. The plaques have a woodgrain, weathered look that just didn't show in the photo. Customer was very pleased.
