We need more details. If calibration isn't working, then your encoder strip could need to be cleaned or replaced. I had problems cutting long decals until I replaced the wheel/rollers on my SP. Also look for cracks on the pinch roller arms.
It's funny how a Chinese platform is the only social media that allows true free speech here in the U.S.A. but somehow the media has convinced everyone that it needs to be banned because they are "spying on us". Reality is, big media doesn't want us to view things that is out of their control...
For tough surfaces that a normal vinyl may not stick to I use Arlon DPF 8000. It will stick to rough wood and even brick since the adhesive is meant to "flow" into the crevices.
Yes it is an odd combo and that is what I told the customer. Apparently Uber decals in Australia are printed this way due to regulations and this company wants something similar. The backside doesn't need to be white but the white reflective needs to be white facing out the window. The way I...
So I have a customer that is wanting a reflective decals that is both black and white but needs to be reflective and have front adhesive. I do front adhesive all the time, but with the backside of the reflective material being silver and not white, I'm not sure how to achieve the white when...
This is why I love this forum. Been using the software for 20+ years and never do it this way but it still does what you want. The way I normally do it is to put the two object over each other and use the "compound" tool. Menu: Arrange/Compound/Compound/ or Ctrl+M. I use both menus enough I...
More than likely that cable needs replaced. It isn't a hard job to do yourself, just rather time consuming since so much of the machine has to be taken apart.
I always keep several feet of that hose in my supply just in case it gets clogged. Easy and cheap to replace instead of trying to clean it if it's clogged bad enough.
Should be videos on YouTube of pulling ink with a syringe. Doesn't have to be your exact printer. Just do not pull too fast as that can damage the head so pull slowly.
I hear ya. When it's a common vinyl and it says "call for availability" I just move onto the next vendor. They used to answer the phone right away but that isn't a thing the last few times I've called so I prefer to order online (always have anyway). Some of their pricing is still pretty good...
I feel ya. If we have to fix something because we screwed it up, I can almost guarantee the second time will be wrong as well. But that's why they say "third time's a charm" right?
I have had some problems like this over the years in Flexi. I think it is normally solved by ungrouping all the layers, then copying it into a new blank file. This allows me to move layers around like normal. Not sure that it works on every file, but I know it has worked a few times in the past.
The "dishwasher safe" it the complex one as most vinyl manufactuerers don't have material that they say is dishwasher safe (even though I have had decent luck with some working throughout several washes).
1. I think I paid about $5k for mine about 3 years ago. It came from a refurbisher and has been pretty flawless since I got it. Not sure where the market is these days on them.
2. Unless you are doing a LOT of printing, normally OEM ink is the way to go. I stick with OEM inks because I only...
I feel your pain but a tech is a tech sometimes. I have a couple of Rolands. One I have had for over 12 years and I bought it used (SP-300V). A year or two after I got it I had some problem (can't even remember the issue now). Had a tech come out and their response was "lets replace part...
I second Eric at Vector Doctor. Been using him for years. But if I have a decent image and have some time on my hand for clean up, I have been using Graphic Tracer for several years. It seems to do a better job than Flexi and some of the other converters I have used. It too has a built in...
If you make your artboard a color besides white, does it show you the white parts you need being white or are they clear? I make it a habit of making my artboard green temporarily just so I can see what is white in the file and what is clear.
