  9. Questions for Those Who Have Latex Printers

The two main reasons we are going with Latex. 1. We do a lot of wall decals and customers don't like the solvent smell -- can be marketed as more "eco friendly" 2. We have periods where we might not use the printer for several days and I don't want it gumming up.

  16. What's Your Method of Color Registration

Just curios how others register a two color vinyl job together when applying to a vehicle. We use stars for registration marks that are cut in place for each color -- just curious what others do. We install dry on the vehicle. So for this example I would put the black down first and then put the...
  17. Time to Invest in Second Graphtec Cutter

Due to our workload I need to purchase another cutter. I currently have a Graphtec FC7000-130. The thing is a work horse and the tracking is awesome. Bought it used...was the best used tool I've ever bought. 95% of the work we do is 24" cut vinyl jobs. The other 5% is an occasional print/cut...
  18. Who's Doing Web 2 Print?

No, thats not what I mean. My roots started off in the offset print world and moved to the digital press world -- where many printers are doing web 2 print. I have many customers who already do their own designs and just want to upload and pay for their banner or sign and in a couple of days...

  20. Expert colour profilers! Slight magenta shift. Advice?

Sounds like you are dealing with metamerism - the shifting color you are speaking of. You could try profiling to G7. G7 is based upon gray balance so if your grays are dialed in tighter you may not see the shift to the red as much. It doesn't take a very big shift in grays to swing to the red...
