  1. To rivot or not to rivot....that is the question

We are a sign shop that has slowly been growing. Up until now we have done several car graphics but luckily they were all on the smaller scale and applied to flat surfaces on the vehicle. I have had a furniture store approach me about doing the graphics for one of their new delivery trucks...
  2. Very cool tool from Onyx...

Just downloaded and tried in Flexi. Works great. Awesome! Another thing to buy for the shop!
  3. Very cool tool from Onyx...

WOW that sounds very handy! One more reason I wish I bought Onxy over Flexi (kicks himself).
  4. What a slap in the face....

I'm not going to get nasty with anyone because I don't want to make a bad reputation for myself. I have email documentation of what was said and I'm just going to remind them of that. There are no other local sign shops in my town that I'm aware of, so I'm pretty certain it's a company from...
  5. What a slap in the face....

I actually got my application all filled out and was going to go down and drop of the check to get my membership in the next day or so. Was thinking it would do some good to become a member, now I'm rethinking that one....
  6. What a slap in the face....

I am going to contact the one in charge at the Chamber. She is the one who originally approached me about all of this. It was one of those deals where they never gave any direction on what they were lookin for in the logo and after several revisions, (which took some time and a couple of them...
  7. What a slap in the face....

We have been operating our sign business in our community for 2 1/2 years. A couple of months ago we were approached by our local chamber of commerce about a project that some business owners were getting in on to create a local group that would revitalize the rivers and nature areas here. They...
  8. Am I Crazy?

I have customer who wants to order 300 coriplast yard signs for his construction business. Do I dare attempt to do these as cut vinyl or should I outsource them to someone to have screen printed? I have done yard signs before but the biggest quantity I have done is 20-30 at a time. If...
  9. Pics of the new Roland Versa Studio BN 20 Printer/Cutter

I think $8000 is a little steep for something that will only do 20" I think we could do about 90% of the decals we get orders for on this machine instead of the mutoh falcon I have. Would definately get a better finished print.... hum....

  13. Falcon FC7000 Uneven Cutting

    Anyone?? Bueller? Bueller?
  14. Roland GX24 not seeing marks on gloss vinyl

Having a problem where my cutter won't recognize the printed registration marks on gloss vinyl. It does find the marks on matte vinyl. Same file printed to both matte and gloss. Any ideas??
  15. Falcon FC7000 Uneven Cutting

Bought a used FC7000. It is cutting uneven. Cuts nicely when the head is near the home position. As the cutting head makes it to the middle of the cutter it won't cut at all (I have a bunch of labels stepped across a 30" sheet). It cuts nicely at the home position at a force of 30. I tried...
  16. Whats up with this nozzle check?

So what is wrong when your nozzle check looks like this. This is off of a 46 inch Falcon.
  17. update for Joe.

Quote from church the other day...."Don't tell God how big your storm is,tell your storm how big your God is" Glad to hear he is doing better....
  18. Falcon Adjustment Lever Broken

I bought a used Falcon awhile ago. There is slight banding so I figured I would try doing a print head adjustment. Have instructions from the person I bought it from. On the last part of the instructions it talks about how you make both heads parallel to each other by loosening a screw on the...
  19. 6' x 8' Banner

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I called the customer to give her the price. She only wants to pay $120.00 for the banner. She ordered one last year from some online quick printer (wouldn't tell me who) and so now my price is too high. When I was talking with her she was complaining about...
  20. 6' x 8' Banner

I know my flexi program has a tile feature but I have never used it. I like the suggestion of thicker tape. I ony have 1 inch tape right now. Will need to get some wider stuff. We are starting to do business in a new city....and I want to make a good impression so good vibes spread out to...
