I have a Wacom 6"x9" that came with my CorelX3 upgrade a while back. It was an offer I believe Amazon had. So.....yes it works. Maybe I should read all the post first.
It sounds like the capping station needs replacing. The maintenance station is the whole unit, cap station, pump, wiper assemble and motor in one unit. The cap station is about $125 but the maintenance station when I bought one was $325 + shipping next day for a total of $350. That you have to...
You won't want to hear this but.......wash the heads....repack it like you got it. I moved mine 5 blocks and had to go down a flight of stairs.....I had no problems. Oh.....lock the head in place. When you get it to where you want it.....do an ink fill.
You can print on Shinerite from Fellers or GT from H&H with great results. I never liked the MacTac vinyl that Roland recommends. Make sure the vinyl has a smooth surface or as Sign Works said you will ruin the head in no time. Dust is no good a PNC600. Try to find a "hard felt" cleaning pen...
You can get parts from any Mutoh dealer. They will have them drop shipped from Mutoh. I have used Gregory. They are very good.....not that Adam Bennett wouldn't do good also. I have bought parts from www.cmykparts.com also. Victor does a good job with help and customer service. Sounds like you...
Your inks should all be Ultra. The inks are not compatible with each other. When Mutoh had the conversion the printer had to have a head wash and a solvent resistant tube I believe replaced on the cap or pump and a better wiper. I never heard of converting a 6 color Falcon to a 4 color. Not...
Make sure the ink cartridges have similar ink levels in them. The one with a low level will cause uneven draw and siphon into the damper next to it.....contamination. With the ink cartridges near the same level print a solid block of the contaminated color until it clears up. Make a file with...
I use OEM inks and get them from Gregory (free shipping). I too won't use after market inks. I have tried two other brands and OEM performs the best with the best color gamut and durability.
No, but I believe OEM is the best for the printer and does a good job. The cost of ink is a small cost of doing printing. OEM for my Mutoh gives me very good color, durability and keeps my printer printing without ink issues. Just my opinion.
Really you have to do some type of layout for their signs. I do 3 quick sketches by hand to give them an idea of layout and color and color value. A $150 minimum is what I charge for logo. Even if it is "just a sign" and no logo is talked about, I have had my layouts in yellow page ads and other...
The first thing I ask is "what is your budget?" and "do you have a logo". Then give them a price for the logo work on a three tier level. Once the company logo is done the sign needs can be addressed. Aways educating the customer the value of their company's identity and the value of your work...
