  1. NEW HP Latex L370 4th Generation

Assuming they haven't changed anything from the 360 then yes. I print full rolls 150' long on full heat with no problems on my L360. Did the same with my L255001st gen never had an issue with melting heads. Not sure where that comes from. Sounds like you may have had a bad heater or heat...
  2. Latex Printable Foldable Map Material/ Tyvek?

Have you used any of these materials.... regardless if on a latex machine. Just wondering about the folding. I know I had a sihl waterproof before but if you folded it it would break at the fold pretty much.
  3. NEW HP Latex L370 4th Generation

When I checked the ink was 3liter for $375 and 775ml for $135 Exactly .05 a ml cheaper. Gonna have to do more then that. I can print all day already without changing a set of ink out.
  4. Thousands of tiny bubbles in a trailer wrap?

You get the same thing with oil paint when you do a thick coat and don't let it dry all the way before the next coat.
  5. Latex Printable Foldable Map Material/ Tyvek?

Only thing I don't and customer doesn't like about the banner is the thickness.
  6. Application tape rant lol

I don't think he meant masking tape or premask. Masking is for painting. Premask is applied by the manufacturer. Transfer or Application Tape is the tape used after print or cut to transfer or apply the image to whatever the substrate may be. Send those rolls back, if they don't take them...
  7. Clear Bra - what is it made from?

I love hexis brand materials. I haven't played with the car protect yet but I saw some demonstrations. It works very well against keys.
  8. Latex Printable Foldable Map Material/ Tyvek?

I've seen a bunch online. I really was hoping for some end user experience. Or what others have done in a similar situation. Definetely a sample first. Has anyone played with tyvek. How does it fold?
  9. Latex Printable Foldable Map Material/ Tyvek?

I have a customer that wants to do a series of maps. Only requests are lightweight, thin, water-proof. I was thinking like a Dupont Tyvek roll. I was wondering if anyone has had luck with this material through a latex machine. Preferably the L300 series. Or if anyone has printed foldable...

If you watch the sushi roll video you will see them putting them on with sqeegees
  11. Weeding after laminating issue

scoring and impression are two different things. If you can feel it an see it easily it's too deep. If you can put it in light and barely see an impression then your ok. I think people confuse the two.
  12. many files coming in from designers have duplicate cutlines

Pain in the A$$ remove duplicate lines option works best for us. It will happen from flexi to illustrator. That's why I always stress please simplify your artwork as much as possible. Sometimes It looks simple and then you look at wireframe and there are things that don't even show in the...
  13. Weeding after laminating issue

I think you mean definite or finite point. an infinite point would be a circle and would not be sharp. Sorry it's my birthday I can correct. hahaa
  14. Weeding after laminating issue

I believe that was what we were having issues with. Sounds like the same thing. I thought the blade holder was mushing the adhesive back together after it cut it. Or there was too much pressure around the cut. The issue could also be with the adhesive on the lam and the pinch rollers. Try...
  15. Good media for retractable banners

I'm interested in how the Grimco Product works. It says it's a roll up film.
  16. Weeding after laminating issue

Also is your blade out enough. If your blade is making it all the way through but your putting a lot of pressure down with the tip of the pen you might be mushing the cut sides together as you cut them. This usually only happens if we do really thick stuff. Then we switch to a 60
  17. Is there such a thing as a frustration-free laminator?

A laminator is only as capable as it's operator. That being said we had a royal and I loved it. Would probably go US Tech when I need a new one. Heard a lot of good things.
  18. I see the ad and had to ask..

Love their vinyl. The $129 is good. Starts to shrink a little in high heat areas. When the vehicle is outside a lot. For temporary this is more then perfect though. Even long term indoor or outdoor just not high heat and cold nights. I haven't had the chance to mess with the cast yet...
  19. Custom Vinyl Release Liner / Swapping Release Liner

Waste of time.... If your doing stuff promotionally why not make a two part sticker. Where you put say a smiley face with a contour cut around it and then put your logo and number below and coutour that also. Then they can peel the sticker and your info is all there on the front.
