  1. Vinyl to stick on carpet of boat??

Are the graphics multi colored or just a single color. What about making a stencil and just spraypaint the carpet. Maybe you could convince them to simplify the logos into single color and then paint them. Since time is a big problem for them maybe just tell them it will take to long to order...
  2. HELP!! Lost all my black ink overnight.

How often are you cleaning cycles set. I think it is safe to say the ink is in the bottle, but how did it get there. If the printer was on my assumption would be cleaning cycles but an entire cart. in a night is a lot of wasted ink even for the cleaning cycles. Where did the fiber lead to...
  3. HELP!! Lost all my black ink overnight.

If the fiber wicked all of your ink out of the cart then there would be a ton of ink at the end of the fiber.
  4. Mounting Aluminum Sign

Don't VHB directly to the wall. If the paint gets compromised then your sign will fall off. Metal to Metal only with VHB tape.
  5. Vinyl to stick on carpet of boat??

I would think some sort of heat press transfer material would work best. Like thermo paint for the street lay it down and put a shield over it and hit it with a torch.
  6. Mimaki Registration on Half Cut

At least for Graphtec on flexi you can adjust the size and thickness of the reg marks in flexi when you send before it goes to production manager.
  7. HELP!! Lost all my black ink overnight.

Hope all works out well. You could change your cleaning cycles also to help avoid this problem and save more ink. Just make sure your heads stay good. Also, hope everything at the hospital went well.
  8. HELP!! Lost all my black ink overnight.

Looks like there is a cleaning menu or such that you can change the cleaning cycles. Maybe your cleaning cycles are set too close together. Also read a couple things about how they were wasting a lot of ink and then they updated to the new firmware with better results. Do a google search for...
  9. HELP!! Lost all my black ink overnight.

This makes me think a little differently. So what happened when you turned it off yesterday, for it to stay on. If it was on all night it might have some sort of a cleaning process where it puts ink through to keep the heads from drying up. I would talk to the mfg. about what it does while it...
  10. HELP!! Lost all my black ink overnight.

Yea that is a strange one. I don't know if your ink cartridges are pressurized like the latex machine but almost seems like they have were and just depressurized overnight into the waste cont. That or the cart itself had an issue keeping a vaccum in the bag and let air in and it somehow...
  11. HELP!! Lost all my black ink overnight.

Is it possible that it is reading an old ink cartridge. You don't have a bunch of ink all over the place do you. I would think if the printer was shut down it's not going to dump the ink through the lines.
  12. Mounting Aluminum Sign

What is the wall made of. You could screw some aluminum plates to the wall on the corners and middle and then use 3M VHB tape to stick the sign to the plates. Easy Fix, might not be what the doctor ordered though.

The 2014 slogan was only used in 2014. It is now 2015 making the 2013-present still the newest one thus the reason it is on the wall first.

  18. Mimaki Registration on Half Cut

How about sending the contour and the half cut as different files. So when you do the halfcut you will have to reregister them? If you can do contour fine by itself you should be able to halfcut by itself fine. I know the extra step would be unwanted but it's still faster then doing each...
  19. Roll Labels

You can't fit two 3x4 stickers on a 6x6 sheet.
  20. removal of mylar decals....pure hell

Plastic Razor Blade and some heat. I would imagine Mylar is about as tough as taking a Diamond Grade reflective off the side of a car.
