  5. over spray on test draw

honestly sounds like a head to me. Sorry. You should have seen some improvement with a longer head soak. I'm out of ideas.
  6. over spray on test draw

Post up a scan of the new test draw after the head soak, I'm curious to see if it has any effect at all on the problem. The more I think about it, the more I suspect it won't, actually. The uniformity of that spray has got me thinking more and more it's a defective head or a problem with the...
  7. over spray on test draw

How long of a captive head soak did you do? You might consider doing one overnight or even over a weekend to see if that helps. If it doesn't, I'd say try pushing some cleaning fluid through the head manually with a syringe, but that's risky and should be a last resort. It's strange that...

    Hello from Dayton!
  10. OK All you Wrappers.....

I like pickups too, that's what we have, and it's nice, but there are alot of times you need to deliver some things out of the weather that are too big to fit in the cab. Right now we're weighing either adding an Element or an Astro van, the van is considerably cheaper ($3000 for a pristine one...
  11. OK All you Wrappers.....

I'd go with Kev3232's suggestion of a used Astro van, if you don't mind used. You can pick up a very nice clean one with low miles for a few thousand bucks at most, they're reliable and run forever, and they're perfect for wrapping. And as said, big enough to be useful, small enough to not be...
  12. New some Help with JV3 160S

Do you have an OEM set on hand? If so insert those cartridges and see if they work. If they do that eliminated the posisbility that the chip reader on the printer isn't working. If they work, your cartridges have a problem. I don't know anything about the Bordeaux ink so I can't be of help...
  13. New some Help with JV3 160S

Are they OEM cartridges? Are they expired? Are they the right ink set (CMYKlclm or CCMMYYKK)? Are you absolutely sure you're putting them in the right slot and the right way?
  14. Mimaki wiper error

wear old clothes, an apron, two layers of gloves, etc.. It's nasty down in there, or at least ours was.
  15. Mimaki wiper error

You might have to pull the wiper assembly out and clean the gears and the belt drive in there. We had a similar issue a year or so ago and we had to go that far to resolve it. It's not terribly difficult to do but it is messy. To prevent it in the future, when you're doing your routine...
  16. JV33 pros and cons

  17. jv3 130 spII - how many keep the cover down while printing?

I can't remember the last time we had the cover closed on our JV3. It's always open like that. When we got our JV33 a couple weeks ago the first thing I did was remove the pin from the cover so it could be open all the time too. Those covers are annoying, if you wait for the print to get out to...

  19. Help!!!!

Are you getting any ink through the head, or are none of the nozzles on that half of the head working?
  20. Roland to Mimaki

Definately. We jsut bought a new JV33 to run side-by-side with our JV3. Demo'd several Rolands, including the upper-end soljets and the lower-end Versa-Arts. The JV33 is priced more in line with Roland's lower level units, but I think after extensivly running some demo units that the Mimaki's...
