"The biggest detriment to posts are people with weed-whackers. If cutting is needed right up against, use a small PVC sleeve at the base."
Excellent advice. Thanks Gino
Chip, I know the stain Gino is recommending can be sprayed, how about the acrylic stuff you recommended.
Also do you have a...
They are permanent and very visible in a hard to reach location. The customer is concerned about upkeep. Gino would you use a sprayer to apply? Also will stain provide a semi transparent finish or a dense cover on green pressure treated?
I have found that capping station pressure and misalignment to be a large cause of these kinds of dropout. Second to that are the connecting tubes below the cap have been loosened or are not forming a good seal. (provided the dampers are in good shape)
I have a job where I need to paint several large pressure treated posts white, I would like to match a competitors quote for 8 year durability.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
1. Check the bi directional alignments
2. Replace the "trailing cables" from the carriage board to the main board (rubbing in the frame can sometimes cause the cables to fray on the edges)
At about $100 a pop they are easily stocked like ink. I dont know of another outdoor durable printer that has cheaper printheads, even if I install them myself the cheapest dx4 solvent printhead is about $600.
I typically get 4 or 5 liters out of each head.
HP will never have enough technicians to handle all of the printers they have in the field. HP relies on the larger dealers to provide service, some dealers that are not certified will rely on the HP techs to come out, but that always takes longer.
Major dealers (Grimco, Advantage, Proveer, etc.) have relationships with the printer manufacturers. The dealers generally pay for the technician to be trained at the manufacturers training facility.
I am looking for the 411 on vinyl applied to carpet. This will be for a trade show job. Any particular vinyl I should use?
Help would be greatly appreciated!
I have never cleaned the heads, the cleaning cartridge takes care of that automatically.
Have left the printer off for a couple of weeks without any clogs, it doesn't really worry me. If there was a permanent clog I could just snap in a new head.
No experiments with metallic here, but coverage...
I have averaged about .22-.25 cents per square foot for ink on the L25500. My solvent printers were higher at around .35-.50 sqft.
I think it has to do with fewer cleanings and fewer wasted prints.
