  1. New Epson Printer

That is correct. I think its S40, S60, and S80. Very nice printers with lots of new features and print heads. I believe Epson is attempting to go heads up against HP by offering what might well be the very best mild solvent ink printer to compete with Latex ink printer. Roland, Mimaki, and...

  3. Castek

Paul, Just a note to thank you for your prompt, educational, and reliable responses to most posts at this site re: HP Latex issues. HP should reward you for your service! It amazes me that a company the size of HP does not have a product specialist monitor this and similar sites daily to make...
  4. HP Latex 110 - Australia Launch

Suz, HP cut a deal with SAI to include their Basic RIP with the L110, L310, and L330. If you want to have color management control, you must upgrade through SAI to their PRO package for $1995 I know Onyx and Cadlink have drivers for L110

  9. HP Latex Decisions...

Big Easy Tough crowd! :) Everything you noted was absolutely correct! The initial poster seemed to be "cost conscious". If $2K savings makes a difference then I was simply pointing out that a 24", 30", or 42" cutter works fine with L110 54" printer. BTW, I would print all decals on...
  10. HP Latex Decisions...

Big Easy, Unless you are cutting decals like "fatheads"; why do you need a 54" cutter married to 54" printer? Most end users are looking to cut small decals. Buy a 30" cutter and print on 30" vinyl. End user can save $2K plus on vinyl cutter. Just a thought! I rarely see end users cutting...
  11. HP Latex Decisions...

Tom, If you want to save more money, buy an FC8600-75 for $2K less than 54" cutter. You can die-cut decals with 30" cutter all day long. :)
  12. HP Latex 280 vs. Mimaki JV34-260

All depends on print size and volume. L280 is good printer but if your client is heavy into 72"-104" printing widths; he/she might be better served with a refurbished HP L610 or LX850. Good printing

  14. 60" adhesive backed vinyl

Guys, The customers file is 30"x104". It is near impossible to print perfectly on 60" vinyl 2 up. We suggested squeezing file size to 29.7" wide. He would prefer keeping his 30" file and sourcing 61"+ vinyl and overlam. He has a 64" wide printer and 64" wide laminator. BigFish...I know you...
