Thanks for all the input, maybe what I have isn't as bad as I thought. As far as the scramble looking like the Padre's design, I'm not a big sports fan so I had to look it up. I guess there are some similarities, but I can honestly say my scramble was hand drawn directly from my imagination! The...
I ordered two rolls of the outdoor durable 15" punched engine turn gold and silver VinylEfx. I have never used this product before but I have a project going on that I thought it would work well for. I printed it on my Edge and laminated it with 3M 8518. The graphics are on a chalkboard...
I'm definitely not looking for people to come up with a logo and post it here. I am just asking to see who would be interested in doing it, I know there are quite a few people here that would do an excellent job.
I have posted my logo on here before to get feedback. After changing it a million times, I haven't come up with anything I am happy with yet. I guess its just a creative block when it comes to my own stuff, but its driving me crazy. Would anyone be interested in putting something together for...
I use sign vinyl on my custom metal fire helmet shields. They are put into extremely high temperature environments, and I haven't had a failure yet. I have had some slightly bubble or shrink, but then again that was when it got hot enough to blister the paint on the actual helmet.
There is some great information here, thank you for the replies. I have a lot to think about now. I will call the customer and discuss the options tomorrow. I will most likely draw everything by hand and then use the Vector Doctor to vectorize it.
I used the printed reflective gold leaf on a job for the first time the other day. I am happy with it, but I still have some fine tuning to do. It will be easier to dial it in more when I finally have a printer in house.
I was approached by a local embroidery/screen printing shop about designing fire department scrambles for them to use on the apparel they are selling. Basically they have fire departments who are ordering apparel and asking for new custom scrambles, but they don't have a graphic designer to do...
It appears to be just printed on your choice of reflective vinyl. That is the easiest/cleanest option.Edited to add: You can get the fluorescent yellow diamond grade vinyl, and overlay transparent red vinyl to get the same effect. This method is also approved by the NFPA.
I switched to arctic white instead of regular white because it is supposed to cover other colors better, which it does. But other colors do not print well over top of it, they have ragged edges and seem to not be bonding. Did I just get a bad foil or can you not print over arctic white?
Wow that is some good information, thanks for taking the time to type that out. It is in fact Windows 7 64 bit. The computer guy that ordered this for me used to do sign work so he had a good idea of what I needed. But I will do what you suggested and report back!
I looked up the specs on the computer. It has the i7 Quad Core processor, 8 GB Ram system memory, 466 GB hard drive, Intel HD graphics 4600, and 64 MB dedicated graphics memory.
