I have had my printer for a few weeks now, and it has been great. I have printed on several different types of vinyl and have not had any issues so far until now. Yesterday evening I tried to print on some Instant One cast vinyl, and between the time it was loaded and started printing it...
This is one of several fonts that are used by Pierce Mfg. (fire truck builder) and RJ Marx (fire truck graphics company) in Wisconsin. They will not sell the fonts, but if you contact RJ Marx they may be able to typeset whatever you need and sell it to you as an .eps
I have had that problem also. Every once in a while my old Edge LE would "remember" a job if something went wrong and I aborted it, and it would try to print that same job over and over no matter what I sent to it. Letting it go through the motions and print it will clear it out, sometimes...
Even if I have nothing but spot colors in my design, it will still make me use each CMYK color to print the registration mark unless you make some changes in production manager. Either check the box that says "use spot colors only" or go in and de-select each process color before you send it to...
Thanks for the video link. In my search for this oil, I found a thread where people said any high quality synthetic oil such as sewing machine or paper shredder oil would work. I was planning on getting one or the other and a lint free cloth and trying that.
I will give that a try. The only thing it is showing under maintenance is lube carriage rails. I am going to get some oil and do that also and see what happens.
I have the 42" L25500 and Flexi rip. When I try to print in unidirectional mode, the printer sounds like it is going to come apart and usually ends up stopping and popping up the substrate jam error. The carriage looks like it is chattering all the way across instead of running smoothly. Any ideas?
My sales rep at one of the suppliers I use is telling me that the 3M 7725-114 is in fact enamel receptive and is the same product as the Gerber 225-114 clear enamel receptive. There is a significant cost difference so if I can make the change to the 3M I would like to, but when I contacted 3M to...
You are right, it is easy to get carried away trying to keep enough stock on hand to make everyone happy. But for now I am going to keep it simple like you suggested. I have some IJ680CR and 8518 laminate on the way, which will cover most of my reflective needs. But I do not think I need the air...
Has anyone tried 3M 7125 in a latex printer? I am wanting a good cast vinyl for vehicle graphics and other general decals, but I don't think I need the IJ180.
As long as the doors are the same size and same brand, there shouldn't be any differences in spacing. Just make sure to get your measurements with the door firmly closed. Also another little trick if the doors are new, open and shut them a few times before installing. The slats have some side to...
Measuring the door you are working on and setting up the cuts in the design is definitely the best method. If you do put it on as one piece and trim it, you can't just slit it because it will fail every time like you said. I wish one of the knifeless tape companies would come up with a dual...
Now that my new to me 42" L25500 is up and running I have been playing with it trying to figure out the ins and outs of printing with it using Flexi as the Rip. I was amazed at how little effort it took to make this thing spit out beautiful prints. Using the stock Flexi profile for IJ35, I...
From what I can see on my phone, it looks to be Square721 or Eurostyle for the "WARNING" and then it's hard to tell but most likely Helvetica condensed for the rest
I just brought home a new to me L25500, and while I am waiting on an electrician to install some outlets I figured I would start ordering materials to print on. I have searched and read a lot of threads on the subject, and this is what I have put together so far:
-Cheap vinyl for setting up the...
Thank you all for the help! I am currently headed back home with the printer in the trailer. It was everything the guy claimed it was, only 16,000 feet of usage and it just had the 3rd service done on it. The first issues I ran into was the stand "wracking"... we used about 8 straps to tie it...
