  1. Patriotic Graphic Needed

I'm fine with putting it together from pieces, I just need the pieces at a high enough resolution so it looks nice when I print it. Old Paint- I've seen that guy's work on wreckers, it is awesome! But for this project it will need to be something printed on reflective, not airbrushed.
  2. Patriotic Graphic Needed

I'm working on a large wrecker for one of my clients. He has requested a large graphic on each side of the body (approx. 3'x3') to honor the 343 firefighters lost in the 9/11 terrorist attacks. He wants something along the lines of the Twin Towers with an eagle behind them wrapping its wings...
  3. Font help please!

It is a proprietary Pierce font, but as Tiki said Fire Ladder 12 is a commercial version that has been created from the proprietary font. Well worth the money they are asking for it.
  4. Siser ColorPrint Soft Opaque and latex?

Hmm, that doesn't sound good. Is the heater core something that I can replace or is that something a technician has to do?
  5. Siser ColorPrint Soft Opaque and latex?

It has been fine most of the time. I have had some trouble with black not drying well on the left side during a long print. But other than that I haven't really had any issues.
  6. Siser ColorPrint Soft Opaque and latex?

I am using a 42" L25500 and Flexi as the RIP.
  7. Siser ColorPrint Soft Opaque and latex?

I'm having problems getting this material to work. I used the HP Photorealistic setting for the first print, and it came out with the ink still oily. So I lightly went over it with a heat gun to set the ink, but that was too much heat and set the material to the liner. So I tried another print...
  8. Major Contour Cutting Accuracy Issues

I printed a combination of striping and lettering on 6' of 30" 680CR today. When I loaded it up in my CE5000-120 it read the contour marks perfectly, then proceeded to completely jack up the entire print. It was fairly accurate at the top and bottom, but in the middle it was off by 1/8" or more...
  9. Fire Truck decaling on the rear part

It will mess with your mind, but you can't flip a sheet of chevron 180 degrees and have it facing the opposite direction. I've learned that the hard way haha. You can flip it 90 degrees, but the reason they are offering a "left" and "right" is so you can buy rolls of 36" wide or whatever width...
  10. Fire Truck decaling on the rear part

Orafol was demonstrating a new product at FDIC in Indianapolis (big firefighter conference) when I was there a couple weeks ago. They had sheets of pre printed red and yellow chevrons, that came in left and right sets. According to the lady I talked to it was repositionable and conformable. I'll...
  11. Font help Please

Without pulling it up on my computer, I know "Graphie" is one I've used in the past. I'll check for you tomorrow.
  12. Font help Please

It's a Pierce proprietary font, you won't be able to find it. I have some that are close, you just have to go in and tweak a few letters.
  13. CE 5000 Registration Mark Scanning

I am trying to get my new to me CE 5000-120 setup and running. I have gone through the menus and I thought I had everything set right for the auto contour cut mark settings, but apparently not. When I load a job up, it prompts me to align the blade with the lower right registration mark. I do...
  14. Siser ColorPrint Soft Opaque and latex?

Has anyone tried the Siser ColorPrint Soft Opaque with a HP Latex printer? It doesn't say it is compatible on Siser's website, but it sounds like good material so I'd like to give it a try.
  15. CE 5000

I've found a CE 5000 48" for sale not too far from me, but I have no experience with Graphtec to know what it is worth or if it's a good machine. I'm upgrading from a Mutoh SC 850D, the 30" is too small to contour cut prints coming off of my 42" L25500. The guy says it was never used...
  16. L25500 ink not drying

I'll go in and check but I'm pretty sure the "heat airflow" setting is maxed out at 45 by default for this profile. Ill see what options I can find to adjust it
  17. L25500 ink not drying

I printed about 25 feet of 3M 680CR reflective today, and I noticed the ink wasn't fully dry on the left side of the prints. It seemed like the beginning of the print was fine, but then after the first 1-2 feet the left side black areas were pretty oily. I am running 30" material on a 42"...
  18. Contour Cutting Heat Transfer Material

This blade has quite a few miles on it, and most of those miles were cutting reflective. So Im hoping that's the issue. I ordered a "Clean Cut" blade, they have been great in my Gerber plotters so I'm going to give it try.
  19. Contour Cutting Heat Transfer Material

So I've ventured into the printable heat transfer material world. My Grimco rep recommended Specialty Materials 2160, so I ordered that and the first print on it with my L25500 turned out awesome. Then I loaded it in my cutter and everything went downhill quickly. It almost looked like I set it...
  20. FONT or HAND LETTERED

As J Hill said, it is LHF Burbank. This font was based off of an old American LaFrance factory font.
