  1. JFX200 2513EX - Magenta missing from head 1

I clean the capping station, then do a light clean before wiping the cap down again with a white cloth to see what colors there are.
  2. JFX200 2513EX - Magenta missing from head 1

Run a clean and look at the capping station to see if you have magenta being pulled through the nozzles. Also not a bad idea to follow your ink lines and look for possible damage or disconnections.
  3. JFX200 2513EX - Magenta missing from head 1

How's your air purge look, any ink coming out?
  4. JFX200 2513 EX - Primary pump

Could have ink getting into vacuum lines and crossing there. Get photos of top of head area.
  5. JFX200 2513 EX - Primary pump

If you pull hard on air ports, you might pull in ink from the nozzles. If you do it gently, it's more likely you'll just do it through the subtank. If tank isn't filling, it could be a lack of air vacuum. Check the clear lines attached to the subtanks for signs of ink getting in them.
  6. JFX200 2513 EX - Primary pump

If it's a white pump, make sure to turn off the main power switch. Nothing more fun than a circulation cycle starting mid-replacement.
  7. JFX200 2513 EX - Head 1 - Magenta nozzles

The JFX200 EX is typically routed with CMYK on 2 heads, 1 Magenta on each head. The third offset head being usually used for white, clear and sometimes [shudder] primer. Now, the older JFX200 is just 2 heads instead of 3. Each head has a dedicated subtank and it'd be weird for you to have an...
  8. JFX200 2513 EX - Head 1 - Magenta nozzles

It's all injection molded into a sealed assembly unfortunately.
  9. JFX200 2513 EX - Head 1 - Magenta nozzles

The subtanks have filters that can clog over time and they are somewhat finnicky, just like dampers.
  10. JFX200 2513 EX - Head 1 - Magenta nozzles

I mean, the Gen5 has a damper system, Mimaki is just weird. Heck, the heads support dual ink feed and circulation, but Mimaki is weird and doesn't take advantage of it. Crazy. And yeah, Mimaki using Gen4 dampers for the air release is silly and weird. I love that stupid bracket they made to...
  11. JFX200 2513 EX - Head 1 - Magenta nozzles

They do similar jobs. Dampers use springs and actuate with their little buttons when suction is present to open up and let more ink in. Subtanks tend to have sensors and tell a circuit to pump more ink when the float sensor says the ink is low. Sometimes subtanks are used in printers that have a...
  12. TX Need new print heads for HP FB700

Tricky finding new ones for a good price, and some of the refurbs are terrible about working for long. Best of luck, was in the same boat a while back.
  13. JFX200 2513 EX - Head 1 - Magenta nozzles

These printers use subtanks, which are filled by pumps. Similar to dampers, but not 'automatic' like them. Here, keep this a secret tho, their manuals are apparently confidential.
  14. UCJV330 + RL7 - Space between jobs

When Rasterlink creates the raw data file for the printer, it does it there. Basically, a bunch of nerd stuff, and I sure as heck ain't going to try and teach folks how to do it. Playing with the raw print data is a recipe for disaster, even if you have a good idea what's going on.
  15. JFX200 2513 EX - Head 1 - Magenta nozzles

I would take a bet on the subtank myself, p/n M020235. Same unit as on the UCJV300, so not too hard to get ahold of.
  16. UCJV330 + RL7 - Space between jobs

Put the art all in one file is about the only way I know how to reliably do that.
  17. DIY Print head recovery system - Epson DX4 / DX5 heads, etc.

This thread died in 2013, also not a lot of printers left using DX4/5 heads these days.
  18. Xante Printers—Ink Usage and Printhead Replacement

Pretty much any XP600 compatible UV ink will work fine, though the heads don't typically last all that long as they're not really designed for UV inks. i1600/i3200 UV heads would've been a better choice.
  19. Search for the best Acrylic Edge Polishing Machine

Looking on Youtube, seeing lots of machines. Prices are all over the place as well.
