  1. Sp300i printhead replacement

Be sure to replace the captops with Roland OEM parts. As far as dampers go, I've had an excellent experience with the dampers I get from Solventinkjet.
  2. I installed Versaworks 6 on new computer. How do I get my old jobs from old computer to show up in the queues and job log on the new computer?

On your old computer, navigate to the printers folder in VersaWorks. In this folder, you will find your specific printer folder. Open this folder and copy the 2 input and 2 jobs folders over to your new computer. See if that does the trick.
  3. roland XC-540 NEW/USED Issues

Try cleaning the crop mark sensor on the bottom of the cutter head with a swab and alcohol. You may also have ink buildup on the crop mark sensor board, which can also cause random reading, (#2 in attached drawing). This will require a bit of disassembly. You can also check the crop mark sensor...
  4. Roland SP-540i print head questions

You can find media clamps here - https://dgastore.rolanddga.com/ or you can try Ebay. If you can get the short ones, you will be less likely to crash the sheet cutter by forgetting to remove the clamps when sheet cutting. Check the condition and orientation of your pinch rollers. The outside...
  5. Need Help How to adjust the Pinch Roller Pressure on VG3-540

A potential solution to your issue is to print with only the outer 2 pinch rollers and cut with all the rollers. I don't have the service manual for the VG3, but the user manual for the VG3 does have an entry on page 165 about auto up-down on the middle pinch rollers. This may help.
  6. Sp300i printhead replacement

My preferred approach is a zip lock bag, rather than paper towels. And put a touch of cleaning solution on the bottom O-ring on the damper just before installing - makes for an easier install.

  8. normal dx4 head in lef2-300

Good to know. My UV experience has only been with Mimaki flatbeds and Ink Cups UV printers.
  9. normal dx4 head in lef2-300

All solvent DX4 heads run the same, regardless of the coating on the nozzle plate. The difference in the nozzle plate coating has to do with the anti-wetting characteristics of the two types. Gold plated nozzle plates are more resistant to wetting, which is the accumulation of ink on the nozzle...
  10. SP-540V Ink Line Replacement

Your glass syringe is perfect, provided it is big enough. I use these items, as the syringe is a Luer Lock type, as are the needles. This makes it easy to detach the syringe from the needle to empty the syringe. The variety of needle sizes let you find the right one that fits snuggly in the...
  11. SP-540V Ink Line Replacement

See Damon's post... I don't get into the exotic solutions (nothing wrong with them), as I'm more focused on getting the printer up and running as quickly as possible so my customer can start making money. Remember, in this business, down time is lost money. Not a fan of the approach as...
  12. SP-540V Ink Line Replacement

Added thought... If you want to be sure you have all the dried ink out of the lines, fill them with acetone again and block of both ends and let it sit for 30 minutes, then flush it out again.
  13. SP-540V Ink Line Replacement

Personally, I think you are beating your head against the wall on the heads... Four 8 hour soaks should give you more than a tiny amount of cyan. The ink is dried up inside the head where cleaning solution can't get to it. Yes, it can be removed with ultrasonic and cleaning solution, but the...
  14. How to print Fast with VG3640 ?

Here you go. It should speed things up considerably, at least on files that are smaller in width...
  15. Rj900x station cannot pull ink…

In the immortal words of Lazaras Long in Robert Heinlein's 'Time Enough For Love' - “Always listen to experts. They’ll tell you what can’t be done and why. Then do it!”
  16. Rj900x station cannot pull ink…

If it worked for you, consider yourself lucky! These heads are manufactured as a single, unrepairable unit. you can clear clogs with careful work, and replace the manifolds, but doing any internal repairs, such as fixing an internal membrane isn't possible.
  17. Mutoh 1324x head replace

No problem! The operations manual is the same thing as the user guide. The service manual is for repairing and aligning the printer by a technician. Operation/user manuals are always readily available. Service manuals are more difficult to find. Manualslib.com is definitely a good source, I've...
  18. SP-540V Ink Line Replacement

I have replaced ink lines before, and it is a major pain. The new lines have to be fed through the chain system and there are tubing size changes with couplers in the middle of the chain. It requires some disassembly of the chain system in order to feed the lines through. The ink lines are...
  19. Mutoh 1324x head replace

He needed the Service Manual for the 1324X, which I could not find online. Searches only bring up the 1324, which is slightly different than the 1324X. I have sent it to him... Your effort is appreciated!
