Flatbed cutters are not as common as roll cutters, just not as big of a user base. I would like to have one, though we don't do enough work to justify the cost right now.

Summa fan here. Had an old T1010+, when it finally gave up the ghost I just called up Summa and got the current T model in the width I wanted. Wasn't any reason to check other brands, Summas' just work.

The few times I have had SAi tech accessing our PM, first thing they say is to clear out jobs that don't need to be in the queue, no matter what the issue might be.

First guess, you might have a stroke on the graphic before you blended it.

Then you have an issue somewhere. Either the printer or your profiles.

Are you using high ink or low ink setting?? Only a few medias I use high ink on, usually lays down too much ink here.

We do 10 pass on all of our vinyls, just never tried going down to 8. Banners run at 6 pass, with quality that I am still happy to put my name on. Maybe you should post a pic of the issue you are having at the lower pass count.

What software are you printing from??

More then just the unit, make sure you take a good look at the software. And insist that they send you a trial of it first. Some software is super easy to use some isn't. A big thing to look at is how your client is going to handle scheduling. Haven't installed a Watchfire sign here yet but we...
