  1. Color banding on start of some prints - mainly yellow or magenta

In addition, check the "sponge" on the inside of the caps. If this is swollen and raised up enough to touch the print head surface, it can cause a wicking action between the 2 sides of the head. For this reason, I only use Roland OEM caps. Are your captops OEM or 3rd party?
  2. Roland RF-640 Cyan Issue

If it's a damaged head, then it's not repairable. However, if it clears up after a short amount of printing, you can create a small file to print to clear the cross contamination and then print your jobs. This will buy you some time.
  3. Color banding on start of some prints - mainly yellow or magenta

I would suggest making sure the cap lines to the pump are clear. It looks like possible cross contamination, not uncommon on the SP DX4 head printers. If the lines are clogged or draining slowly, when the heads are parked, the ink touches the bottom of the heads. This completes a siphon action...
  4. Can VSi not print "good" red?

That's the downside of canned profiles. You don't know who created the profile (and every manufacture is using a different person or service), what software and device they used, how much experience they have and what settings they decided on in the sections that require visual judgement instead...
  5. Roland RF-640 Cyan Issue

Have you had any head crashes? This looks like internal leakage between the yellow and the cyan channels in the head.
  6. Question Roland XR-640 intermittent cutting issue

I also replied on your other thread. I would suggest you have a tech check and calibrate the upper and lower pressure settings on the cutter head (2 different strain gauge tools and dummy white pen are required). I had the same issue on a VG that was cutting random depths. When I attempted to...
  7. Cutter tapping and missing in spots

I would suggest you have a tech check and calibrate the upper and lower pressure settings on the cutter head (2 different strain gauge tools and dummy white pen are required). I had the same issue on a VG that was cutting random depths. When I attempted to calibrate the pressure settings, I...
  8. Can VSi not print "good" red?

The software can only work with the amount of ink you have it limited to. Increase the ink limit and you give the software more ink to work with when creating the icc profile. Now, lets say your magenta was restricted to 80 percent. You have a red calling for 90 percent magenta. It will use 90...
  9. Can VSi not print "good" red?

If you upped the magenta on an existing profile, you won't see much change, if any. You need to make a new profile from scratch with the higher ink limit.
  10. EPSON S30670 black printhead completely clogged

Search EBay for the service program. It can be purchased and downloaded. Anytime you run cleaning fluid through the lines, you need to do an ink charge to completely clear the cleaning fluid out of the system. I just "repaired" a similiar Epson that was missing 1 channel each on the both heads...
  11. News Warning for everybody in this forum

Never ever buy from any company in Indonesia or Malaysia. Period.
  12. EPSON S30670 black printhead completely clogged

Since you ran cleaning fluid through the system, you need to do an "ink charge". You will need the service program to do this.
  13. Can VSi not print "good" red?

It's not about the single ink limits being "off", it's what are they at now. If they are less than 100, you may want to increase them and reprofile. Those values control how much of that color is available for the profile and if they are too low, you will be restricting the ink available when...
  14. Can VSi not print "good" red?

When you did your single color ink limits, are the magenta and yellow limits reduced at all? If so, you might try to increase them to give you more of those colors to create your reds. Make a new profile with those inks having a higher ink limit and see if that helps.
  15. Need Help roland sp330v scan motor issues

I presume you did the encoder steps before doing the aging? Did you move the head carriage by hand? How did it feel? Any resistant spots?
  16. Need Help roland sp330v scan motor issues

Did you do the following? Linear encoder, linear calibration and scan aging in service mode for about 10 complete movements to distribute the oil into the bearing blocks. If you have done these, go to cap and wiper control in service mode, lower the caps, and move the entire carriage back and...
  17. Need Help roland sp330v scan motor issues

Clean the encoder strip with a microfiber cloth and acetone.
  18. Need Help Scan Motor Error? Printer currently dead in the water

Were you able to lock the head in place and "Intialize the limit"? You know the carriage is locked when you cannot push it to the left. Only then can you go to the next step...
  19. Need Refresher on 'Head Soaking'

PIPE TOOL FJ-540 (rolanddga.com) This can be used on all Rolands using DX4 heads.
  20. Question Sc545ex- ethernet issues (bios mode)

Don't know about stopping the "server service" other then opening task manager and looking for it there. Perhaps accessing the print server as shown above and either restarting or selecting default settings to see what it does.
