  1. Need Help Xd-540 test print troubleshooting.

Each cartridge supplies 1 side of the head. I would suggest replacing the ribbon on that side and also the damper and the O-ring on top of the damper. Is there ink in that line and damper?
  2. Need Help Xd-540 test print troubleshooting.

Power the printer off, both switches, and then pull cartridges to check. If you pull cartridges with the power on, it will reset the display counter. The empty tab will stop the printer regardless of ink level display, as the display is an indication only.
  3. Need Help Xd-540 test print troubleshooting.

I suggest checking both light cyan cartridges to make sure they have ink in them. What ink brand are you using? I have run into this issue several times where the ink cartridge was empty, but the "really empty" ink end tab did not come out of the cartridge far enough to close the ink sensor...
  4. Help with my Dinosaur

The SP300 is head carriage is driven by a cable. Go into the maintenance cleaning mode by holding down the cleaning key while turning on the front power switch. Go into cleaning and this should move the head away from the capping station. Turn off the main power in the back at this time. Move...
  5. Need Help Roland VP300i Fuse Replacement

Please post a pic of the fuse showing it's location so the we can advise you correctly. From your description, it's sounding like you are describing a power supply fuse. What are the symptoms with the printer? Does it power up? Are you missing entire color groups on the test print?
  6. Roland XR-640 print horizontal line issue.

Please post the nozzle test, as that will tell me a lot.
  7. Roland XR-640 print horizontal line issue.

I believe this is an electronic issue. What happens when you print the nozzle test print? Image DPI has nothing to do with this.
  8. cleaning on its own

See attached... Set it to none or whatever time interval you wish to use.
  9. Question Dx6 And Dx7

The post immediately before yours explains the difference very clearly. The true DX6 heads are only used in specific Epson printers and aren't available to the general public. The DX6 heads you find for sale on various websites are really DX7 heads sold by unknowledgeable people. I actually...
  10. One clogged head? Roland sp540v

Remember when it was suggested you use OEM caps? The inner white part of the aftermarket caps probably swelled up and touched the bottom of the heads and wicked out your ink.
  11. One clogged head? Roland sp540v

    Bad magenta channel...
  12. One clogged head? Roland sp540v

Picture of the edge of the fill test is out of focus. Can you post a crisp picture please?
  13. One clogged head? Roland sp540v

Bad head. Fill test is the definitive test for printheads on the Rolands. It is the same as printing in Standard mode of most Roland profiles - 720x720, 8 pass, standard speed, bi-directional, 100% ink output. This is where you are able to see each channel's behavior under normal printing...
  14. Print & Cut off

Try doing the following in the below order (all these are in the service mode): Initialize the Limit Aging - Feed, Scan and Cutting Linear Encoder Linear Calibration Crop-Cut Alignment Print-Cut Alignment Then in the user menu, go to the cutting menu. There is an option for Auto Env Match...
  15. Need help with Roland!!

Glad you're up and running. I'm always disappointed when I hear about techs not being knowledgeable and/or not doing thorough troubleshooting and the customer suffers because of it. Especially when a simple calibration procedure might expose the problem.
  16. Need help with Roland!!

Did they do this when they were there? It would appear that the cutter solenoid has not been tested through the calibration process. The pressure is calibrated at both the low end and the high end force settings. In my case, the high end was ok, but on the low end, the cutter wasn't consistently...
  17. Need Help Mimaki CJV 150-75 Misfiring issues , Cyan mark most visible on Pinch roll lane

You can do the nozzle wash for up to 99 minutes automatically. If you want to do overnight, set the time to 2 minutes, and when the actual soak starts, power off the Main switch.
  18. Need Help Mimaki CJV 150-75 Misfiring issues , Cyan mark most visible on Pinch roll lane

That sounds very strange. Both cyan dampers should be replaced as the next step. Also, whatever part that was "tightened with a tape" needs to be replaced and any part of the ink line that has been stretched needs to be trimmed off. If you continue to see the same issues after doing those...
  19. One clogged head? Roland sp540v

Did you replace the caps with Roland OEM caps? This should be your very next step. Eliminate debris by checking underneath the head carriage for anything hanging down. Does this only occur in areas of heavy ink coverage? Because appears it is only magenta, I don't think it's debris, but the...
  20. used xc-540 arrived today, prints great, no cut!

You probably need to replace the cut carriage ribbon. The solenoid does not appear to be reacting at all.
