Consider laser etching them and then filling in the etched section with the dishwasher safe paint or ink designed for use on glass.

  3. Need Help Left magenta keeps firing all the time - fautly test print!!!

As I said before, recheck the condition of the head ribbons. If they are ok, it is possible the head is damaged.
  4. Opinion Roland sp 540i printhead

For me, getting a refurb head would be the choice only if a new one was was no longer available. Plus one doesn't know how well the refurb cleaning was done. Any ink that wasn't removed during the cleaning process may end up drying inside the head, with resulting permanent nozzle loss. Also, if...
  5. Opinion Roland sp 540i printhead

Definitely need to change the C/K head. Can you post a pic of the latest test print to show what the M/Y head looks like?
  6. Opinion Roland sp 540i printhead

Netsol, I had the top end model and primarily cleaned Ricoh Gen 5 heads used in InkCups UV printers. Success rate was around 30% in recovery, but UV ink is tough and Ricoh Gen 5 heads are robust. My success with the few Epson heads I did was only a marginal improvement and usually worse then...
  7. Opinion Roland sp 540i printhead

Epson heads are rather fragile internally and ultrasonic cleaning has a tendency to damage them unless you are using a system that is designed specifically for that purpose, such as the Print Doctor system, and even that system is only marginally successful on Epson heads, and it is a very...
  8. Need Help Left magenta keeps firing all the time - fautly test print!!!

Which printer model? This is typically caused by a head ribbon cable being either damaged or not inserted correctly, causing the head to go into a "free firing" mode. Based on your previous posts, I would recheck the traces on the ribbons to insure there is no damage to them. You said you...
  9. Need Help S40600 1A39 Error after power outage

See attached. I can't help you any further than this as Epson doesn't give board layouts or schematics. I would suggest you look for any fuses on the mainboard and test them. Good luck!
  10. VG-640 Media Calibration Test Print WAYYYY Off.

Please post a test print showing how the heads are firing. The only explanation I can think of is you are missing a section of the black channel.
  11. Question Roland SP540i wont print after changing the DX4 Print heads

You must pull ink through the head very slowly and gently.
  12. Need Help Magenta drops out

What ink configuration are you running? If you are running CMYKx2 did you change both magenta dampers?
  13. Need Help Magenta drops out

Cleaning can pull enough ink from a mostly empty cartridge to temporarily recharge the print head as there is always a bit left in the cartridge. Normal ink supply to the head is by gravity feed to the dampers. Did you check the magenta cartridge?
  14. Need Help Magenta drops out

Power down the printer, both sub power and main power. Pull the magenta ink cartridge and make sure it has ink by rocking it back and forth. I have run into multiple instances recently where the tab on the cartridge did not come out and trip the switch to stop the printer.
  15. Roland sp 300-v

These are the steps that need to be taken next: 1. "Intialize the limit". After doing this step, go into service mode and do a test print. Ignore the test print results, but instead check the cap to head alignment. Do this so you can see where the machine parks the head through the normal...
  16. Roland sp 300-v

OK, you are not pulling ink through the M/Y head yet. If you were, you would see the color change I described. Also, the M/Y cap looks dry, while the K/C cap is wet. So this is the first thing you must fix. Any other steps are a waste of time until you know you have ink going through the head...
  17. Roland sp 300-v

Please post a pic of the caps after you did the above. When you do this damper swap, you must do at the very least a medium cleaning to flush the previous ink colors out of the head. You will see a change in the color of the inside of the caps, where the K/C left cap is looking M/Y and the M/Y...

  19. Onyx Thrive 19 Slow

Do you have a lot of jobs in your queue? I have found the more jobs in the queue, the slower Onyx responds. If you need to keep the jobs for future printing, you can move them from the printer folder in the Thrive19/Work/"printer name" to a different folder for backup. Do this with Thrive...
  20. Roland sp 300-v

You are not pulling ink through the M/Y head. That is the first issue that must be solved. There are several adjustment to be made to insure the capping is correct. Do you have a service manual? Those are the fuses. Measure them with a resistance meter on it's most sensitive scale. They should...
