    You can use lacquer thinner to clean the metal areas not related to printing.

    Hows the nozzle test pattern look? Only time I ever get banding like that is when it needs cleaned. Go in the menu and try a powerful cleaning.

    You may have contaminants in the air. I had this happen after spraying furniture polish (pledge) in the other room from where the printer was.
