is this something that giving it a good buffing would help hide.
we do that to most of our older vehicles with decent success i also have a product called ghost-off which also helps a bit.
its a spray on and wipe off type product
i have used many printers over the years. some with oem ink and some with non oem ink.
i have used bulk systems also.
it is in my experience that non oem ink is way more hassle to work with over all.

i believe i read somewhere that there is an issue with this. i would suggest making sure your print is being fully cured. it shouldn't feel "oily" to the touch.
might try raising your cure temp a little and see if that helps.
i would also say its a feed issue. you might wanna check the material feed motor. it could have a loose connection lowing the power to fade for a second.
yes heads are made to spray ink. it doesn't care how many passes, it doesn't know, it just sprays ink. the machine has an automatic cleaner that after so many passes it cleans the head.
i dont see how passes will make it go bad, i would think the more passes the more ink used the faster it will...
well the first question is how much of an area are you wanting to cover, will it be a straight vinyl or will you print something on it.
does he have a sticker idea already in mind.
if he used a stain able filler that would be better than a sticker
i have one with heat assist. i use it most of the time. in my opinion it helps make the laminate more pliable.
for most of what i do i dont think it is "needed" but i like it.
i run a seal base 62 laminater everyday.
even with perfect set up you will never keep a perfect alignment. there are several factors that fight you.
temperature pressure tension stretching. which all shift the material ever so slightly. i have done full rolls just to watch the 2 materials shift...
i never said you was an amateur, but there is an issue somewhere and i was trying to help you find it. you said its not in onyx, its not in the machine, and you said its not in your file. so was trying to find some random step or place that would be changing your size.
