as you work it in the ribs you will curve. best way to lessen it would be to start more in the middle and work up and down. it will split the difference. also you could heat and stretch it to force it to staying straight
i have used both solvent and latex. they both serve a purpose.
my current work load requires latex due to print install at the same time.
with proper care on a basic wrap it will last
i have seen install failure occur sooner than a print issue failure.
i would work it into the curve some all the way and then a little more and then more. if you try to do it all the way in and then around you will have a mess of extra clumped up at the end
you will want to stretch it. tack it down about a foot away form the curve, heat the whole area and press it into place.
i tell my new installers. think of shrink wrap. large area pressed into a small area and sucked into place.
for something like this you have to "heat" it into place. its not easy and will take some time. or you can find a not very noticeable area and cut/reset your graphic also making sure you give a good amount of overlap
first make sure the print head is installed correctly, take it out put it back in. make sure all the caps they put on them for shipping have been removed. check the contact strip on the carriage is clean and straight. i have seen these strips move and not make good contact. i think some of those...
i agree with the vinyl on the windows. it will look tasteful
that size of banner will be cumbersome and need some heavy duty anchors which you cant get with out going into the brick.
but if you choose to go into the brick you can later sell them promotional banners to hang up there
i normally use cut vinyl in the 30" size. i am comfortable with setting the cut area to 28.5 but i can milk it to a little over 29 if i have to. but i prefer my comfort zone. my printed media is 54" if i am cutting it i set my page size to 50" this gives the extra room for the lamination to not...

i do feel your pain. it sucks when the new diamond you are expecting turns out to be a polished turd.
but on the bright side your not stuck with this for ever. they have to run through the steps then order you a new machine.
