We do it with waste ink on our XL jets. We also mix 5% pure K ink to give it more black and make up for the head flush/solvent in the waste also.
We also have profiles with black curves and densities up to compensate for mixture. I would not suggest trying a withcraft potion on a whim because...
gf is a whole different beast than just a low end printer...
you need space to finish them, machines and heads to finish them and low consumables to profit..
if you go low end chances are your entire infrastructure is low end and you will fail right out of the box...
seen many god...
same we have a bi weekly pick up...
save most and make our black ink from solvent waste.. UV waste will not cure ...
yes black is recycled from waste ... and we keep printing .. green ,black or brown.. this is how we do...
I quite honestly do not have time to find out nor wait for a shop to make these. Easier to have shipped next day pop em in and get up and running. Downtime only about 14 hours...
Some times you pay through the nose for things being a convenience.
Why would I sell the machine off? I have owned 2 3150's for 4 years and they print 24/7 and do not owe me a dime.. They print Money all day and night... Like I said would lose more if machine was down,,,
If I had issue with the price I would not of ordered the parts. Also who the hell is going...
Alright Ready for this... Also keep in mind it costs me more in lost revenue being down vs. parts so we had to get these and get machine up and running.
set of reflector shields $4,999.95
reflector clamp $462.00
No joke...
Figured I would at least have a little fun with this. Please look at pics and take a guess how much these parts were.
2 reflector shields $ ?
reflector shield clamp $ ?
Rubber glove was free and the lube was back ordered...
This should be good...
The school across the street. We have rented a space to finish these in but seems when these turn into rush jobs that space has vehicles in it getting wrapped.
The gym is a saving grace...
Actually 11 panels. The seamless appearance is credit to awesome finishing crew with major skills....
Josh we only have 5 reps. Most of our work comes from Brokers and We serve as a major overflow facility/ partner for some heavy hitters with mega accounts...
sorry bro now way trying to think I had issue with your 2 cents.
would agree machines on paper do not owe a dime..
it is the expectation plus or minus.. that has been established by mfg..
if your or I made false or empty promises or expectations to our clients they would hold us...
please do not try and analyze any roi, throughput, machine usage or overall production comparison. to our production model here
the overall nuts sand bolts are not fair game .. this is an extreme project with extreme expectations and 7 years running so we will always react to clients...
3K s/f a month is only 180,000 s/f per 5 years
My figure is about 11,600 per month for 60 months = 700,000 s/f max and the machine rolls downhill very quickly.
We have 2 Scitex XL 1500's and they have never ever let us down in the 5 years we have had them. No new HP's should carry the Scitex badge. They are far from the Israeli True Scitex engineered production presses.
We have had more techs here for one Lx in 16 months of owning than our 9 other...
I have no issues with the LX as a medium volume super high quality.
I just never thought I would need to have 3 of them to keep a single job on point.
They have replaced our Lightjet for backlits. Which is a plus and when this project is complete they will run many other projects. 24/7/365 work...
