We have always had an issue with this plotter cutting contour cut prints and it seems to get worse the longer it is.
On checking today when the plot had finished (and run off) the left hand roller was no longer on the material.
This is a machine problem and not a software one.
Is their a way of...
LOL ...... You got me there David!!!
I just wouldn't wish it on any country to end up as the UK.
We had coal and closed all the pits and bought from europe as it was cheaper, we had gas but sold it off, we had oil and sold it off!!!!
We have nothing now.
It would cost me nearly $300 to travel...
Maybe also because here in the UK we are paying over $9 a gallon, the engines have to be very frugal!
The US is just wasting fuel for the hell of it! Very environmentally friendly.......NOT
SC
We have had these vans in europe for a number of years now.
The size inside is what is a winner, and are just a large box.
We get the 3litre diesel but most certainly do not get a petrol option and especially a V6!
Mind you the 3litre diesel is the largest capacity available and they would be...
These run the Epson DX4 head I believe?
I reckon the manifold is leaking either where it goes into the damper or the rubber O ring at the base of the manifold.
Hope this Helps

I can say for certain that even with 2-3 nozzles down in a specific area you will get prints like this.
Replace your maintenance station straight away.
I would not mess about with pf adjustment until the station is replaced, you can now see your pf is way out.
How old is the head, is the machine...
This is a contamination issue.
Normally caused by the capping station either not sealing properly or something touching the head directly and allowing the ink to flow between all lines.
Firstly I would check the cap and that the pump is pulling through properly.
If not buy a new station.
SC
That sounds like a horrendous way to sort it, not to mention very messy.
Is it not just an issue with the sensor not reading correctly and needs bent into a new position.
Maybe this is why the later machines had the cartridges on top.
SC
On my Mutoh VJ1604 I still have sub tank low errors after replacing the sub tank valves.
What should I change next?
I notice the sensor is triggered by a metal plate attached to the sub tank bladder, which seems a little hit and miss.
It must be still working as the machine would not work at...
Yes their was air in-between the valves.
This morning I came in disconnected the bottom of each valve and pulled the ink through the valve with a syringe with each valve turned on and then reconnected it to the bottom of the sub tank bladder.
Yes it was messy and even with cloths and gloves on...
I do not think their is any leaks on the joints and the joints do not have o rings but you can see clearly that their is air in-between the valve pipes on the valve.

I have just replaced all the Sub Tank Valves on our VJ1604 due to errors saying the sub tanks were low and becoming a to common issue. I have installed these in accordance to the maintenance manual. But on trying to do a test print it keeps coming up as subtanks refilling and looking at the...
I feel that maybe 3M should maybe adjust their weight of a roll up and stop being tight with the tolerance of a weight of a roll.
I like everyone else, expects if they order 50 Metres or 45 yards I expect to get at least that.
We do not order material by how much it weighs!!
SC
I like this a lot!!!!:goodpost:
I had similar issues with a supplier years ago on cut vinyl, each roll was between 12-15' short.
Weird thing was they were never over sized.
At the time where I was working I was trying to log how much vinyl was really being used per job.
It all kind of fell...
We have had this laminator for a few years.
A couple of months ago the lock nut that stops the roller coming down to hard came loose.
This has upset the way the machine applies laminate now.
My question is how do I reset it back to what it should be?
Thanks
SC
I get this all the time.
"Can we re-use what is there already?"
It's all about money!!!
I give this new business less time than its previous tenants before it folds.
In our eyes a horrific way to manufacture a sign.
The customer must be a real low baller to have accepted this even if it is his...
OMG this is so true Mosh.
We outsourced for a few years but who we were getting it from were getting unreliable and the print quality had deteriorated.
So we purchased our first solvent machine.
When the installer comes to install the new machine he will give you so little info it will cover the...
