  1. Mimaki JV 33, nozzles missing on all channels

I have limited knowledge on the JV33. But our Valuejet runs the same heads. So my advise is if it has only just showing this bad head print test, is to change the maintenance stations, pumps, wiper assembly, etc. Also make sure the pump is pulling ink through as they block very easily. But if...
  2. Valuejet 1604 pf current error

When this message originally appeared we also changed the PF motor as all the tecs said this was the issue. Also the issue went away but then reappeared a couple of days later. It turns out that when you ease the pressure of the drive belt of slightly this will change the shape of the encoder...
  3. How to: Use expired ink cartridges in JV3

I do not think it will work on the CJV-30 160 as it is a completely different machine. Also with the CJV-30 160 being a newer machine their will be further security measures to prevent you fooling the machine. SC
  4. Help with this one please?

Cheers for that will try. SC
  5. Help with this one please?

That's it. But I am having a nightmare, the job is for a damage repair to a customers car and only needs a web address and number! The repair is not worth the cost of the font. The job will go to our competitors if not. Anyone point me to somewhere were it is free?!!!! SC
  6. Help with this one please?

Hi Some help please with this one. It has come up before but I am at a loss. Sorry about the photo best I could get at the time. The "k" seems to be the most prominent and all the corners are rounded very slightly. Cheers SC
  7. 3M or Avery

We were using 3M IJ180 and have done so with some amazing results but we were offered a stunning deal on some Arlon DPF6000XRP. We were assured the DPF6000XRP was comparable to 3M IJ180... Well to be honest it added more than 50% time when wrapping something and to call the Arlon material as...
  8. Best time to buy a printer??

That takes me back to the day our 1604 got delivered. You start thinking "how big is this thing?" Good decision the bigger machine is the bes buy.. SC
  9. Valuejet 1604 pf current error

The spacer gets inserted in the middle of the encoder disk assembly on the shaft at the front. Roughly around were the three screws are. I had a picture somewhere but I am struggling to find it. If I come across it I will post it. Is your encoder disk touching the sensor or waving about? SC
  10. Best time to buy a printer??

Probably the best time to buy a printer is just before the launch the new model! But then you will panic!!!:banghead: This is the most head battering thing you will ever do, in my opinion. SC
  11. nozzle dx4 buble

I haven't worked on one of these machines but it has the DX4 heads so I would say either cracked/split print head manifolds or dampers. If definitely not one of those issues it could be pumps or splits or leaks in joins in pipes back to the cartridges. Also make sure the printer is leveled out. SC
  12. Valuejet 1604 pf current error

The actual encoder disc may be misshapen/buckled which may be letting the sensor touch the disc. Rotate whilst looking at the disc sensor gap. Also there is a spacer that goes in between the shaft and the assembly which centres the assembly, this was a later amendment and could be the problem...
  13. Cleaning Brushed Stainless Steel

Thanks for all the advice people. But Taking the posts down and sending them to a specialist company is not an option. They are just tarnished and blotchy in places almost as if someone has spilt coffee on the face. Most of the cleaning has to be done on site (in a busy street), so it needs to...
  14. Cleaning Brushed Stainless Steel

Hi None of the posts are removable, their is 30 off directional signs with at least 3 directional arms that are removable. Also their is 8 free standing lockable information boards which are 4' x 4' in size with two posts. SC
  15. Cleaning Brushed Stainless Steel

Personally the amount of signs and posts to renovate in this way would take so much time, the job would not happen. I heard that bicarbonate soda and washing up liquid works well and then some vinegar! Any other suggestions? SC
  16. Cleaning Brushed Stainless Steel

Around our local town we have a large amount of stainless steel directional signs and Information boards. Stainless Steel has been used as we are a coastal town and used to have a huge steel industry. These are manufactured from Brush Stainless Steel but the finish is discolored and tarnished...
  17. Cap not sealing

I would remove and refit as when I changed my last station some of the screws did not seat right. It might be also a good idea to check the pump is working correctly and none of the pipes and connector from the cap to the pump lines have come adrift. The connector is very small and reduces the...
  18. Temporary Exterior Sign

A banner is already classed as a "temporary sign" anything else is the real deal. I think this customer of yours is just wanting the "moon on a stick" If your customer is worried about tacky they will have to find more $$$$ for the real thing. SC
  19. 3m ij-39

I have dabbled in MX panels (which use the same low energy panels) and using other manufacturers materials, and believe me I would only advise on either Convex or a material called Substance. Both are equally good. But as for doing full wraps onto low energy plastics I reckon you will always...
