Sandblast etching is even better than laser etching. We use photoresist for such projects and we can get lettering as small as 1/16", but I wouldn't suggest lettering that small on brushed stainless. JB

Not so sure...I grew up in a body shop and know first-hand the backsides of doors have a sound deadening undercoating. Not necessarily all over, but in a good majority of the panel. I have to believe it's even more so with aluminum panels. JB

I always noticed it happened whenever I plugged in my camera via a USB cable. Somehow the device manager was disabling the dongle port every time. Double check you device manger to see if that is the case. JB

We used to have the same issue with hot stamped magnets and it also left a mark. Typical poly bags are PVC. You might want to get a hold of your competitor's bag (pardon the visual) and check it to see if it's also PVC (it will be stretchy). Mylar or cellophane might be a better choice. JB
