I just got my Varidesk three months ago and I absolutely love it. I was able to find one half price on Craigslist but knowing what I do now, I would have gladly paid the full price of $400.

Around here, some of the more well-known sign writers sign their work with fairly large logos and signatures. In a way, it's almost like a fashion designer label.

Sandblast etching is even better than laser etching. We use photoresist for such projects and we can get lettering as small as 1/16", but I wouldn't suggest lettering that small on brushed stainless.

Not so sure...I grew up in a body shop and know first-hand the backsides of doors have a sound deadening undercoating. Not necessarily all over, but in a good majority of the panel. I have to believe it's even more so with aluminum panels.

I always noticed it happened whenever I plugged in my camera via a USB cable. Somehow the device manager was disabling the dongle port every time.
Double check you device manger to see if that is the case.

EDIT: I guess I was laughing right along with you when I mis-typed the info above. Typical poly bags are Low Density...
We used to have the same issue with hot stamped magnets and it also left a mark. Typical poly bags are PVC. You might want to get a hold of your competitor's bag (pardon the visual) and check it to see if it's also PVC (it will be stretchy). Mylar or cellophane might be a better choice.
