  1. Foil hot stamp machine

We used to do hot stamping. I have a 11" x 4" Kensol manual press (with a lot of goodies) for sale in Southern Lower Michigan. PM me for details. JB
  2. Fun wall wrap for our shop

Looks interesting....but just make sure your portfolio is up to date, and relevant. However, I might suggest that you stay away from any tumbleweed or sand on the floor... I personally like the appeal of wall-sized b&w or sepia vintage store-front photos instead of the illustration. Perhaps...
  3. eps generator

What program are you currently using?
  4. Political signs for the common man: Who would have guessed?

Obviously, the political sign market segment just got a "hole" lot bigger. It's perhaps the most truthful one I've seen thus far... JB
  5. sign waver

Everything I've ever seen has typically had slots on the sides for them to put their fingers through. You can laminate pieces coro on both sides of the grip area to make it thicker for holding on to. JB
  6. 3am

After what I said above, I should mention that I still love teaching and mentoring. I hold two or three (free) day-long training sessions at my shop each year for my mentees (who live out of state, and are not my competitors). They bring stuff for the grill and we make a day of it. JB
  7. 3am

I'm in the same boat...but a bit different. I absolutely loved my students. It was the politics, administration, and "the system" that I couldn't handle. JB
  8. gerber embosstrack48

Oy! You'd be better off with an old box of cutters and fitches...just sayin'. JB
  9. New to Old version Gerber. Gerber compose etc. 3.0

I also do a lot of importing with Omega, and I like .dxf files. JB
  10. Signs 365 fail!

Aside from the lapse in workmanship, could you have used a conical punch to set the grommets tighter? JB
  11. Cutting sandblast mask

Ok...here goes: 1) We cut sandblast mask 99.9% of the time, and we use a Gerber GS 15 plotter. 2) We mainly use Hartco 310 10 mil thick for our smaller work (with a drag knife) and Anchor 116 (tangential knife) for our large work seen here http://www.jarsa.net. 3) Hartco is PVC based...
  12. Setting numbers up in numerical order?

With a sequenced text or Excel file (which takes two minutes to make), SignLab can do this with the "badge" function. It only takes three or four clicks of the mouse. I'm not sure what files you can import, but let me know if I can help. JB
  13. Who you gonna call....

Looks like a simple case of oily hands at the factory... JB
  14. Sign company name.

You might want to prepare for a bit of backlash, and don't expect any business from any mental health organizations. JB
  15. Roland Media Holder nuts stripping....I've got a solution!

As a former tool & die maker, I fondly hate "built-in obsolescence". Most everything I build for my shop will be around for decades after I'm gone. JB
  16. The heat!!!

But February is coming...that's why I never complain. JB
  17. Jeep Grill drawing (CAD)

I have AutoCAD, and if I had a Jeep in my driveway, I could reverse engineer one in about ten minutes. They don't come much easier. JB
  18. Can Flexi tell you the square footage of a shape?

AutoCAD allows you to see the perimeter and area of individual shapes. Perhaps a knock-off program like TurboCAD or CorelCAD would be what you're looking for. JB
  19. Is this bad?

    Baaaahhh! That's too funny.
  20. Help with my wedding invitations, please!

    Awesome idea! JB
