  1. Things I did when I was younger & dumber

I get the ATM reference now. It's actually a pharmacy drive thru window and yeah, that's my butt in the air. That's Vern by the window, to catch me if I fall.
  2. Things I did when I was younger & dumber

I don't know about an ATM, but I seem to be the guy on the end of the stick.
  3. Things I did when I was younger & dumber

By the way, the double stack tow motor pic has been around since well, at least last century. My favorite is a dude in a swimming pool, on an aluminum ladder, with a 120v drill. Yeah, the water is still in the pool and he's using a corded drill. Redneck Ladder, well that;s me. Really, that's me.
  4. Things I did when I was younger & dumber

Boudica, these are tall signs. 9 hours in the sky is where I learned to take a pee bottle. Sorry it's the best pic I have. We spent 7.5 hours replacing and rewiring LED's and we were in the basket, "Coming Home James" when electricity does what it does and both batteries on the crane went bad...
  5. Things I did when I was younger & dumber

I wouldn't do this one again. Hauled this 32' steel structure on a 16' trailer beind that little 93 Toyota behind the sign. It was only about 2 miles, no red lights. The funny thing was the owner wanted to dig his own hole and buy his own concrete. I just brought the sign and the crane to set...
  6. Things I did when I was younger & dumber

Somebody's gotta change the light bulbs. Relax the Tractor driver is also a helicopter pilot, at least he was until he got filmed picking swimmers up with a rope at the lake.
  7. SCV Conversion

If I can make it work, my best plan so far is to buy a new Win10 - 64bit machine and run a VM as XP, with FlexiStarter 12 (about $400). If FlexiStarter 12 will run on XP, I might be in luck as the plotter should be good. Had a family funeral today, will see my local service tech tomorrow to...
  8. SCV Conversion

Roland says they don't make a driver past XP for PNC-1050, so that is part of my headache. I know I need Flexi so it will open my old files, but if I get to new my plotter may not work. Yeah and the port cabling might also be an issue. Everything now is USB.
  9. SCV Conversion

My old plotter machine running really old CasMate on Windows ME just bit the dust. I have a Roland PNC 1050 -15" Plotter, which is old, but cut great. I use Corel X8 on a couple year old Windows 7 Pro and an old Photoshop 6.0 in a VM XP Mode for photos. This is the machine I spend most my time...
  10. Tool Crash Cart

You funny James Burke, and really nice set up on the blaster plumbing. Seriously, I learn something new everyday and I recently learned you can sharpen a pipe wrench, or the teeth anyway. Now the next time I've got a couple of weeks to do nothing, I'll sit down with a file and go to work.
  11. Declining jobs based on moral/ethical grounds

Come on Gino, 21 foot rule. I learned the knife as a farm boy, Uncle Sam taught me the throwing star. Anybody ever actually rolled up up you? Hit with a tire iron?
  12. What should I do?

Sorry, Boudica, I type slow. Started my post before the Tesla info. You still Rock!
  13. What should I do?

Seriously, have you contacted the landlord with your concerns? As far as I know, all states have a sexual offender registry, and offenders are required to report. It's online. We all make signs, or print graphics. We are not law enforcement or lawyers. Find out who he is (don't check his mail...
  14. What should I do?

We need more details. Does he drive a plain white work van, or a Subaru? Have you checked his electric meter; is it spinning like crazy, even when he's not home? You are in Texas, it may be an abortion clinic. But since you are in Texas, you could show him your pistol, or just shoot the electric...
  15. Explaining longer lead times to repeat clients

I've had an out gassing issue in the past, when lettering vinyl awnings. Sometimes it is actually best to read the directions. Now my awning guy knows to stretch it and wait 24 hrs before I letter. The under promise / over deliver deal was a huge reason the Chicago Bears were so dominate on...
  16. Adhering 4 mm Coroplast to large glass windows ?

You do what you do. Just because a customer has a 'Brilliant Idea' in his mind doesn't make it brilliant.
  17. Screened printed Reflective vinyl on coro blanks

Diamond Grade on Coraplast. That's like spending 3k for rims on a 74 Pinto, or leftover french fries with a fresh filet mignon. At least print it on aluminum or ACM.
  18. Chevrolet tailgate inlay

So buy it on Amazon, (which is probably is small guy who specializes in this sort of thing) and sell it with a markup. I worked for a great salesman years ago (Mobile Homes), and first an foremost, qualify the customer. If he's not smart enough to buy it online, help him out.
  19. Thread tap acrylic

Dip the studs in epoxy before screwing them into the letters.
  20. I remember..

Gino, two push pins and a string.
