i had the same model cutter as my first cutter. Now i have a graphtec, and the master now collects dust. But when i used the master cutter i would use a USB to serial adapter. I think it was a Belkin brand. The software i used was Sign Go Pro, and never used anything else to cut.

Hmm not much you can do about that. Looks like its pretty old. Only thing you could do is get a new face or depending on the design, cover the face with a new print using white translucent vinyl. But depending on the design it could still show where the old letters were when lit.

651, sometimes 751 depending on the job. 751 does weed much easier. last time i bought 751 was only because i needed the ivory color that didnt come in 651

Most likely. I'm not saying that is definitely the problem. But i have used a roland 300v, and xc-540 and never seen that happen.

go with the 54" I had a 300v once, and was limited to what i could produce due to the size.

So I have had my 1204 since Oct 2010 and I haven't done any major cleaning on it other than normal head cleaning, wiper cleaning, and around the capping station. Should i change the dampers (i use only mutoh ink) are they easy to change? I clean around the head with foam swab and cleaning...

In flexi 10.5 you can set the strike count from 1 to 9 Or in your printer menu, setup, strike count. (at least that is how it is on my mutoh 1204)

Buy a corner rounder for paper at walmart for like $7. Thats what i use. saves me a lots of money and does the job on mags
