  1. Charging too much?

Thanks Fat Cat, that was an very excellent video! It is very possible I am competing with a method like that, could be competing directly with that company. I had no idea there was another method like that. I knew you could do flexo but designs like we do in the sign industry are not compatible...
  2. Charging too much?

I just lost a quote and i'm scratching my head a bit. 1100 4" x 5" white vinyl cut lettering with masking. Design is fairly easy to weed. 13 letters with a simple logo. I lost it to someone at $.62 each. I was more than 2x that, about 11 hours of weeding time was my estimate.
  3. SGIA - Anyone find any cool new Tools, Techniques, or Technology

Sgia This year everything was dye-sub. Seemed like Everyone and their mother was selling Die-Sub related stuff. Zero LED stuff this year. Roland has a new Hybrid Flatbed. Very slow, 2-4 boards and hour. Efi discontinued their Q series, and have a new H series with a smaller cheaper unit. Zund...
  4. Cutting .040, .063 and .080 aluminum sheets after they have been UV printed

I have this same issue right now. It is possible to do .040 Multi pass on a Zund or an Esko, but these are baby routers with the 1kilo router. Using 55k RPM on their special metal bits works well, burr free if your mats and bits are in perfect shape. Its a slow process. Zunds and Eskos are...
  5. JV-33 Cyan Banding

It's possible you have nozzle deflection. Ink comes out but not at the correct angle, causing banding. Some of the more advanced printers can adjust for this, but on the JV33 the only way to fix this would be to replace the print head completely.
  6. Screw you 3M.

You know SGIA is coming up in a few weeks. 3M GET OUT of the custom graphics market. Period. Has a nice ring to it... for t-Shirts... Signs.... Very Vocal Yelling.... aimed at a certain booth... I'm just saying... Ohh and here 3M has a facebook page....

  9. Major JV33-160 printing problem

Pretty Strange. I Would: -Look over everything, from Damper to Capping Station. ink lines to the cart to look for anything strange. -Put in 1 or 2 new yellow carts. -Run 2 hard cleans after cart installs. -Check and Maybe replace Capping station. -Check and Maybe replace Yellow...
  10. Zund Conveyor Belt Cut Into

This is what you need. Either the 105 or the 110. It's super strong, holds the belt together well. It drys extremely fast so you have to be quick about it. http://www.amazon.com/3M-DP-105-Epoxy-Adhesive-1-7oz/dp/B004OXY22G/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1334189172&sr=8-2
  11. FB500 and Aluminium Materials

Depending on the actual manufacturer of the material it has a special coating on top to protected the aluminum. This coating is no good for UV ink adhesion. You can use a promoter or denatured Alcohol. You can ask your supplier about the coating on the AluPanel.
  12. Small UV Roll to Roll

ArtBot didn't know about the 1600, looks pretty cool. With a cartridge system it can't cost to much. I'll see how much they want for it. It needs to handle Magnetic Material. Heavy Rolls. Ideally pre-magnetized but i'm thinking with these options it will need to me non magnetized.
  13. Small UV Roll to Roll

I'm in the need for a Small UV roll to roll printer The only 2 that i'm aware of are the: Roland LEJ-640 Mimaki UJV-160 UJV seems like a toy so that leaves just 1 option really. Are there any others?
  14. Wow....Just, Wow...

Ok issue resolved, guy fired. Now go make some money.
  15. New chinese crate inspection company

I agree. Just so you know that the Reports on specific machines are swayed by how much the manufacturer pays him. He uses the money from his various review sites to fund his archaeological digs in south america. This was eye opening after 2 different manufacturers told me this. Even then it's...
  16. New chinese crate inspection company

Artbot, you know you need to take the flaar reports with a gain of salt right?
  17. Wow....Just, Wow...

Wow. I'm pretty sure Grimco Cares and they will be on top of it. It looks like their issue is the courier service. With an attitude like that it's most likely not the first time.
  18. Come take this piece of junk

We have 2 GS6000's and 2 jv33's. Both are awesome printers. JV33 is more of a Man's machine, like a tank. Messy, works, gets the job done. GS6000's are more like women. Look Beautiful, print beautiful but are slightly more cranky. If you don't need the beautiful 8 color work, go with the...
  19. wireless connections...whos right and whos wrong?

Your Correct Rush, he should never have an unsecured network. Those downloads would be traced back to him, and anyone intent on doing him harm would be, most likely, smart enough to cover their tracks using a local proxy to hide their true mac address. Heard of a network bridge? Easy to...
