After all the work you've put in, how much money do you have in the machine so far? Not counting labor.
  2. How do we compete with this?

There is one good thing to be said about working your equipment and self for wages. The amount of money most customers spends is so small, it's easy to tell them to take a hike.

Its common. I sell banners made with the pre-made banner roll and sell by the panel and amount of colors. panels are 2' long and however wide you buy the roll. a 2 foot long roll banner I get $15 per panel so for a 2X6 foot banner with one color, I get $45.

Gotta agree with Old Paint. There are settings to rotate , "fit to media", cut as sized in the project, and many more settings in cutting master and with Corel Draw, you have an awesome graphics setup.
  8. Did I make any money?

Well it might depend a lot on the situation. Like a feller that has a wife in failing health and he is her 24 hour care taker. That would leave him little to no time for marketing and just barely any time to make the products. Thats my situation and I'll take what I can get as long as I'm at...
  9. CleanCut Blades AWESOME!!

With the Graphtec cutter, the big difference comes with the red top blade holder for the 60 degree blade. That makes the cutting edge longer to cut through the thicker materials like sand blast resist.

  11. CNC routing

One thing you might think about if you have enough travel ability on the Z axis is to layer a piece of sacrificial mdo on you router so you won't have to worry quite as much if your cut goes 1/32 inch too deep. Unless you using harbor freight cutters, one bit saved will pay for the mdo.
  12. Graphtec CE50060 Pros & Cons?

Mine is over a year old and cuts the thick, rubbery Hartco 425 sandblast mask with very good detail. You'll need the red top blade holder with the 60 degree blade for the thick stuff and the regular blue top blade holder for regular vinyl and thin paint mask.
  13. Which Graphtec to buy?

I have the Graphtec CE5000-60 (the 24" one) and love it. I cut very fine detail in hartco 425 sand mask which is pretty thick and rubbery. For the thicker material, you'll need the red top blade holder with the 60 degree blade.
  14. Three weeks in to the Graphtec CE5000-60

If you using Corel draw, learn to edit the nodes and reduce the number of nodes. This can sometimes smooth "bumpy" cut lines . Also when doing a trace, you can use the slider to make lines smoother. Good luck. Terry

  18. Roland SP-540V

I set the blade depth on my Graphtec by holding the blade holder in my hand and running it on some scrap vinyl and adjusting the blade in the holder till I get the depth set to cut through the vinyl and not the backer paper. Works great doing it that way for two different type blade holders, one...

  20. graphtec repair

UPS doesn't necessarily mean a delivery company. I can't understand people that will buy all kinds of insurance but don't ever do anything about protecting things themselves. Uninterpretable Power Supply with overload protection is a must with computerized electronics unless you enjoy throwing...
