I was gonna take the dampers off... I have an old set of empty carts.. Could I plug those in and use them to catch the fluid I would be pushing back through?

I'm workin on an old falcon jr.... I am replacing the heads and dampers because it was sitting. I don't have a set of cleaning carts. I was wondering if I can force cleaning fluid back through the lines with a syringe? Any Ideas?
