What does the test print look like? Are someof the lines shifted a bit? You can try soaking the head if they are, since you have already cleaned them. Also, did the head hit nything? It could have been damaged.

What's the problem with using the VP540 to contour cut? I do it all the time and it works perfectly. Its the reason we got the printer/cutter.

I hope that black and magenta are on the same head on the sp. If the above methods don't work and both magenta and black still won't print correctly, you will have to replace both of the heads on your machine.

Yea, I would say that they dried out. There might be some damage but if they stayed off of the capping station all night, they dried out. Soak them ASAP!
