I don't post as much as I used to and I'm sure no one has missed me, but for an Admin of this site to refer to people as snowflakes seems crazy to me. It doesn't really make me want to participate more. Just my 2¢ - I'm sure you don't care what the snowflakes think.
I'm sure its going over my head, but why are you using a "retro" theme when you are talking about your product being the "future"?

What method do you have to remove the old? I might be inclined to price the removal/clean up separately from the new install. I would also make sure none of what you are removing is reflective.
I did a standoff sign for a customer here in Memphis. The dark gray printed as a dark purple and I did not catch it. We left the premask on to protect the sign during transport, so the customer didn't notice the color. I believe the trade show starts Thursday, so I'll need it cut tomorrow. I can...
If you were starting from scratch, I would go with the blue. However, I wouldn't switch to blue until you can change everything.
A few years ago, I did a color change wrap on my truck. I often have customers say that always notice it when driving around town.
