I am having the same error as you did. Would you mind sending me the file for the part you made? I would really appreciate it.
  2. 3M Di-Noc *alternative* for wood grain and brushed metallic vinyls

There is Belbein, LG, and if you wanted to print your own wood, Hexis makes a cast laminate that has the grain in it. Really awesome stuff.
  3. Association Memberships

I’m a member of 3 chamber of commerces in our area, a rotary club, ISA member, SGIA/PDAA member, along with certification from every vinyl manufacturer. 3m, 3m dinoc, Avery, orafol, hexis, PDAA, arlon, lowen, wrapify, and Paint is dead. I think a lot of it is about more of the type of vinyl...
  4. 19 foot american flag boat wrap went wrong

Nothing wrong with wrapping the boat to the area in which it is wrapped to. Looks to be no edge sealer. I understand that manufacturers suggest stopping at the static water line but that is to cover there ass. As long as the wrap is cut short of the turn to go onto the bottom leaving enough...
  5. Decal similar to a water slide decal

Does anyone know of a supplier that would make a decal similar to like a waterslide decal. Or if anything even exists like that. It would be going on white metal. I guess would be similar to like a sublimated transfer but without the sublimation. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
  6. need help printing window perf

Try not putting you outer pinch rollers so close to the edge of the media. Can you raise your heads?
  7. Handheld squeegee help

Not on a super entry line one, or hand crank small one. Royal sovereign are about the least expensive I’ve used, and I still think they are over 5k. We use Seal laminators, but they will be over 10k
  8. Handheld squeegee help

Get a laminator. Even if just a non electric hand crank style. You’ll never get good quality doing it that way
  9. Avery Vinyl with 3M Overlam...no-no or?

We have also switched to the 6460 over the 1105 with great success. Best combo I’ve used. We have been using it exclusively for almost 2 years now.
  10. Anyone Using Avery MPI 1405 with the DOL 6460 Lam?

We have been using 1105 with 6460 for about a year now and love it! It is a great product combo and with the horizontal warranty, you can’t beat it.
  11. Need Help Wall Wraps

Sorry, you are right. It’s GF 234 graphitex that is similar to phototex. Mixed up the numbers.
  12. Need Help Wall Wraps

The GF 226 is a great photogex alternative. Is a very similar product, and is what we use for most of our wall wraps. The Arlon 8000 series is pretty aggressive in my opinion for wall wraps. Heaven forbid you have to pull it up and reposition. IJ 40 is ok, but is still vinyl. The GF 226 is...
  13. Need help poring small text on styrene

Try taking some dryer sheets that you would use in a clothes dryer, and rubbing them on the back of the sheet. They get rid of the static pretty well. You could also lightly drag them over the front. Just don’t completely wipe them on the front side. We have had good success with them removing...
  14. Need Help Huge water bubble behind wrap on box truck

We always cut those rubber stripes out also. Those you always have to do slowly and carefully to get a good clean even cut.
  15. Need Help Huge water bubble behind wrap on box truck

And also now that I'm looking at it on a bigger screen. I see it has horizontal seams on the vinyl. Did you face the overlap up? I look like you did. If so, that is also a problem. Make sure if you are going to do a horizontal seam, you face the overlaps down. That will probably cause...
  16. Need Help Huge water bubble behind wrap on box truck

The wrap needs to be cut at every seam in the metal. Always. Now as far as fixing goes, you can cut the seam, and try to lift it up and let it dry. Since it is only a month old, I’d just remove that piece and replace. Chalk it up as a learning experience and make sure the rest of the seams...
  17. Silicone edge graphics frames

I’m looking for suppliers of both backlit silicone edge frames, as well the fabric prints themselves. Do anyone know of any wholesale suppliers for these? Thanks in advance
  18. 3m, Avery, Techwrap, Vvivid charging for sample books

I’ve never had issues getting them. If you purchase a decent amount of the products, just ask the reps for them. I usually get 4-5 of each at a time without any hassle.
