  1. Error code 14.10 hp L25500

I just had to deal with this also. Turned out, one of the electrical leads going into the heating element broke. (See picture) I pulled the heater out of the printer, took a small drill bit and drilled down into the heating tube, tinned the wire with solder, stuck them in the hole I drilled and...
  2. First Trailer

This is exactly how you can LOSE good customers. Be upfront about pricing anything!! But now, for this case, I would figure out what it cost me, add some profit, but give them a deal and let them know that, so if they refer someone else without your reputation, they won't think they're getting...
  3. Mobile Billboard supplier

We've seen one other company in our area offering these and have been discussing getting into this market. Does anybody know where you can buy these trailers and material or is it something you would build yourself? I can print and install with no problem. Just looking at buying one or two.

  5. Latex Longevity?

We are a small shop looking to trade in our Mimaki JV3 for HP's 26500 Latex printer. The owner of the company is just concerned with the longevity of latex inks. Of course all the salesman and brochures say they last longer than solvent, but he is not completely convinced. Has anyone had any bad...

Personally, I got bored before getting to the end of either of them. Im guessing you don't want that.

  9. Need help with a JV3

Are your registration marks set up correctly? i.e. are they the same in Finecut for the print compared to what the cutter is looking for? (Mark size, line width, mark shape) Sometimes, the cutter can find the marks, even though they are wrong for what its set up for, but it won't register...
  10. New from MN

Hey all. Name is Ryan and I like long walks in the country. Seriously, I've been doing Graphics for about 20 years starting in grade school making computer programs do things that they weren't meant to. Then H.S., College and many years in the field, I'm finally at a dream position that I never...
  11. To all Newbies Part 2

Thanks for that. As a new guy on the board, but a long time sign maker, I can completely respect your words.
  12. QR codes - please weigh in

We have them on all of our corporate business cards. They add contact information to the recipients phone. No idea how effective it is, but for the price, why not?
  13. Mimaki CG-130FX with Onyx

When I load material, I always take use the front most registration marks as a guide and line them up to the front aluminum lip on the cutter. (if you press your finger over the material onto the aluminum, you can feel the edge of the aluminum and line up your registration marks to that.) Then I...
  14. Advice on flexface sign

Thanks. Last time I did one was 5 years ago and was a bit different system. I figured it was pulling the locks out one at a time and re-tension them. We were losing daylight quick and rain was coming in so we had to leave it like this. But before I went back up somewhat blindly, I would see if...
  15. Advice on flexface sign

So we recently re-faced an existing flexface sign for a new office for our parent company. It is a backlit, double sided 16ft x 9ft flex face. Got new cooley material and laid the vinyl down. Got the faces hung up and it is very tight, but still have wrinkles along a couple edges. What are some...
