Seems I saw a thread where somebody had figured out how to get a good looking red on a HP FB500. I know it can be done because I've done it by accident before. But I reprint the same file now with different results. I have changed ink brands and no longer use HP inks. Any help?

I get a tool 2 position alarm as the blade moves toward origin on startup. A technician couldn't fix it and said no technician has figured out the tool position alarm. I was able to use tool 1 for a few months but as of today I'm getting an alarm on tool 1 as well. Can anybody help? turner graphics

Received the shop vac replacement for the FB500 today. Wonder why HP used a 240 volt vac and not 110?

When printing grays or yellow gold I have magenta streaks showing. Most of my print heads are OK. Light magenta heads are bad but haven't been a problem. I'll post a few pictures. I already tried BiDi and head to head calibrations and also media feed calibrations.

I have a 12x12 layout to cut on the Valuecut on 20x20 sheet of vinyl but the pre feed rolls out the 20 inches and just stops. What's the trick to making this work? Can I simply make it skip the pre feed and go straight to cutting?

Has anybody found motor brushes for the FB500 carriage drive motor? The motor is made by Ametek exclusively for Flextronics in Singapore and cost us about $1000. But if I could find motor brushes (with springs) I could get back to work for just a few bucks. Any help is appreciated.

has anyone dealt with print head splatter? It's probably either the printhead o rings or the vacuum tube system. But I don't see any ink inside the tubes. Anybody experienced in this?

Does anyone have advice on repairing a problem with carriage noise as it travels back and forth? Carriage wheels are not binding. Blue belt is not twisted. Sound isn't coming from the belt drive motor. Lube doesn't help. Printer runs pretty good despite the noise. My best guess is that the long...
