  1. 40' Long x 4' Tall Wall Vinyl

Great recommendations so far, stripping a portion of the release liner at the center to hinge it will help from walking up and down and easier to manage 20' at a time. I would only add that a rolling scaffold would be easier than ladders. It will take more people but will make it easier with...

Any help on this one? Thank you for your time!
  3. Need Help Getting good grey color out of my printer. Roland xc -540

We have a Roland XC-540 and VersaWorks and the best way we have found is to create in CMYK color mode in Illustrator. Blacks and greys should all be percentages of Black, yes the printer will still use more colors but this works for us. In Versa select Sign&Display mode. This mode seems to...

Hello everyone, not sure the pictures will show this well enough, but we are trying to print a FDE - Flat Dark Earth color. The panel is 4'x8' and about 18" or so into the print it completely changed colors. Hoping someone has any ideas as to what causes this. We are using Roland OEM inks on...
  5. Cut Blade Has One Spot Where It Gets Confused?

I agree with Joe 100%, we just did this with our 540 2 weeks ago. You can look in the service manual to see what you need to remove to replace it, but that is definitely the correct fix.
  6. Donut Star Fonts

Yes it definitely is. Every sign around here that has the donut looks terrible. The whole design is terrible. Ha.
  7. Donut Star Fonts

HI Andy, certainly not trying to waste anyone's time. I really was never sure how people knew all these fonts. When I have suggested them, I just knew them from my own collection. I appreciate your time.

  9. Free printer

It is an easy fix. The sensor is not hard to replace just a bit of time invested, just over an hour if I remember correctly. We replaced one and the printer works better than it has in years. Wish we were closer.
  10. Roland Tech in Orange County?

It's a little warm today haha. We have 2 XC-540s and an XJ-740. We're not afraid to work on them, just getting some error codes that don't show up in any manual or online.

  12. Blade scraping on media clamps?

We simply lift the blade holder slightly when printing and simply slide it back down and tighten when cutting.

Mistral is the closest we have.
  14. Vinyl Express GRC-76s Blinking Display

Hi All, We have a possibly 20 year old Vinyl Express GRC-76s plotter that worked great all these years with zero issues, and then today we came in to power it up and the display and green power light just flashes. I assume something went bad with the power supply board. Before I junk it does...
  15. XC-540 Not contour cutting properly

Thank you so much! I will get one of those ordered. Now I have another XC-540 with a different problem. It won't cut at all, won't even test cut. It gives error code Internal Error 1210310. Any suggestions for that? This is after I flipped the encoder strip I think we started seeing this...
  16. XC-540 Not contour cutting properly

Our XC-540 is lifting the blade while cutting. Usually towards the center of the machine, never consistent. It will lift it and keep moving then drop it again and continue. It will cut part of the decal then have this issue. When cutting several decals it is never in the same spot. I have...
  17. Temporary Daily Sign Cover Up

They are basically changing an exit only sign to say drive thru during busy hours so they will have 2 lanes for drive thru. It will have text on it and cover the entire sign or large enough to cover the existing text.
  18. Temporary Daily Sign Cover Up

For a long time it appears. They are in planters so not above the cars, but next to them.
  19. Temporary Daily Sign Cover Up

I will bring this option to their attention, however I think they are looking for a hard substrate. Thank you for the idea tho!
