Have you done this before? I’m concerned the lamination on top of lamination will fail. You can get thickness through the film you are using. What product are you producing?
If it’s your first printer, the s40 is the best bang for the buck. The s80 has an enormous color gamut, but it’s not nrmecessary for most businesses. The white is milky and the silver is expensive and almost a waste. The s60!is a nice option but you can almost buy 2 s40s for one s60/s80
if you are covered with a warranty, you can have hp service your printers or an authorized service provider(reseller)
Unfortunately your printer is never down when you have a project due. There will be more service options with hp. Epson is primarily manufacturer support. There are few dealer...
If laminating you need almost no overcoat. Is the laminate pealing off the edges of the arm? How can much tension is on film when applying? You should use cast film on arch. What is the ink coverage? Is it black background? Did you make a custom profile or are you using a canned profile?
There is a difference between a demo unit and a try and buy. I think if you found out the usage early enough you have grounds for bait and switch. Sadly once a reseller has your money, you are just a number. I’d go public with the salesperson and company. Maybe a few lost sales will do them some...
Why do you need banner to outta before putting in a retractable display? I use 10mil anti curl film in lieu of banner material.
The s80 should be dry and ready to handle 3min after print finished. If blacks are wet you are laying down way too much ink
100/20/20/20 is all you need
Onyx will allow connection to the 300 series printers I’m sure it will on 700-800 however you can only use it to linearize profiles and make basic profiles. Limited swatches.
sorry for delay....the rails will absolutely devolve a bow from the carriage if the bushings wear out and printer is continuously run. This will leave the printer useless.
