Seiki sucks!!! Seiki cutters and the Signcut software suck butt!!! Tell your "friend" to run.

It's a graphtec and when I try to yank that puppy off it's not that easy. The teflon separates from the adhesive and leaves it on the machine.

All right, total newbie question. I have to change the teflon strip on my cutter. What is the best way to remove the old one and I'm assuming that I need to totally clean the old adhesive off before I put on the new strip, right?

I had it working correctly on another computer, then turned the computer off and it shrunk back down. I've changed the settings in signcut to inch & sq inch, but do I need to actually change a setting on the cutter?

I'm trying to figure out signcut x2 and I tried switching the measurements from mm to inches. I've set up the sign to be 14" x 3" and when I send it to the plotter it comes out at 14mm x 3mm. Help!! I have tried switching back to mm measurements and then to inches, but it still doesn't help...

What would you say is a reputable 24" cutter?

Would it be worth it if I could get it for $500 - $600? I wouldn't be cutting long tracks, probably nothing bigger than 16 - 20".

What software are you using with it? I would mostly being needing different types of fonts.

How often should they be serviced?

I am new to the business and looking at purchasing a used Ioline super88 30" machine. It has been used for 8 years - how much longer should it last? Would it be worth getting?
