1. I have lived in Oklahoma my whole life.
2. I didn't eat a hamburger until I was 13.
3. I am scared of stepping on a dead body in the lake.
4. I am scared of broken glass. I clean it up if I have to, but then I feel like I have shards all over me.
5. I really like ketchup, and I like it room temperature.
6. I am going to become a Tulsa Master Recycler.
7. At least once a day I go to Facebook, MySpace, PerezHilton, & Signs101. Usually multiple times.
8. I strongly dislike Perez Hilton as a person, but I can't stop reading his blog!

10. I talk to my maternal grandma on the phone everyday. Usually multiple times.

14. I feel like the daycare teachers will judge my parenting based on what I pack Ethan for lunch. Among other things...

17. Years ago Jeff and I were thrown out of a biker bar on the strip in Denver, CO for our language.
18. We were immediately stopped on the way home by Denver's finest for drunk walking... seriously.
19. I knew in 4th grade that I would be involved in some kind of advertising. I was fascinated when i read something about it in a social studies book.
20. I always wanted a tattoo but first husband said he'd divorce me if i got one. So after I left him that's one of the first things I did.
21. I text way too much after I swore I never would.
22. Could outshoot first husband at the range, but he did better when we went hunting. Can't outshoot Jeff anywhere.
23. I taught Sunday School for years and Jr. Church after that.
24. When i was little my whole family called a door a "thing" to tease me because I hurt myself on it once and couldn't remember what it was called.
25. I sing very loudly in the car while on the 40 minute ride too and from work.

2. When I was little, my parents didn't give me an allowance, instead I would have to work at the shop for a 1$/hour, which I would spend every cent on Legos

5. I play Bass Guitar and Piano, I used to be in a band in High school, college and a few years after.
6. I joined chorus in high school to meet girls, (that's like a 1to8 ratio) I was actually pretty good, I won 12 gold metals at state.
7. I was on the football team so the guys wouldn't make fun of me for being in chorus :ROFLMAO: That and I had been playing since 4th grade. We were undefeated freshman year through sophomore year, and corn belt conference champions junior and senior year.

10. I've never been to the Ocean, I've only seen it once from a plane.

I was born in a small town in Minnesota and am almost 100% Norwegian

My kids are my absolute pride and joy. I love them the mostest. :O)

I am severely claustrophobic

I am afraid of heights (big hindrance when painting signs years ago, and now get others to install for me)

I am still friends with all of my ex's, (one husband, 4 long time bfs) who call, email and text regularly

I love to garden (even in the winter) which explains why I don't much care for snow

I cannot swim (but sitting by the ocean with my toes in the sand is my favorite spot in the world)

I love to dance, doesn't matter if it's on the beach, in the rain or at home

All my best long time friends are men (my two best female friends died of alcoholism)

I have never been a drinker (one glass of champagne or one white russian is all I like)

I love astronomy (too bad my telescope broke) dammit

I cannot stand to be bossed (which explains the divorce)

Very shy at first around people I don't know

Brutally honest is my middle name. Don't much care for phony people

TV spaces me out. I 'watch' it, but 'see' what I am thinking instead. Most of the time this is sign designs being tossed around in my head at night. My son gets a kick out of this as he can change the channel and knows I won't notice.

I am very spiritual (not so much religious) but I believe in God, and really get a charge out of hikes, mountains, thunder, lightening, rainbows (no, I am straight) the badlands, ocean waves, and storms (well you get my drift)

Recycling and 'saving the earth' are important to me

(this will surprise bob and shovel, I have a high IQ)

I carry on conversations with my dog all the time. He understands. My daughter has also acquired this little habit

My aim is excellent in shooting and darts

I have always thought about my designs a day or two before actually painting the sign or getting online and laying out the sign. (this explains what I am doing while 'watching' tv.)
Some call this procrastination. I don't. Some of the best ideas pop into your head in the middle of the night

Myspace, facebook, IM, these have all helped me keep track of my kids and allowed me to be friends with their friends, and know what is going on in their lives.

I do get bored easily. Age, numbers etc. don't mean much to me. I am not into money, (I forget to send invoices or keep track of my bank accounts way too often) but have been fortunate all these years to have raised my kids well, to have a home to call ours, take plenty of vacations, and get a kick out of life!

19. I've leared that in a pinch, a stale tortilla can be used in lieu of a biscuit joiner
20. Over the years, because of shop accidents, Ive had to slowly rebuild Bob Villa from mahagony
21. I drink 1 qt of linseed oil per day and sweat it out both hands for easy varnishing applications.
22. I rebuilt New Orleans by myself last weekend.
23. On Que, I can produce toothpicks from the corners of my eyes.
24. I once killed a man just to watch him die.

1. My wife and I just had our first baby 5 weeks ago.
2. My life now is totally nothing but that baby, and I wouldn't change a thing.
3. I like to go ATV riding whenever I get the chance.
4. I have a Yamaha Banshee four wheeler.
5. I have gone to Silver Lake Sand dunes every year (at least once) since the year I was born.
6. I have gone to Disney World every ear (at least once) every year since my Freshman year in High School.
7. I married my high school sweetheart, and we don't even remember meeting. We grew up in the same church since we were in diapers.
8. Me and my entire family lived within one square mile of each other until I was in High School. That's extended family too.
9. I LOVE all the Ocean's, and National Treasure movies.
10. I have a sister that just moved to Walla Walla, WA, and is the first person in my family to even leave the state I think.
11. I started a video production company right out of high school, and it's still running strong today.
12. I am obsessed w/ Ford Trucks.
13. I am really good at Guitar Hero (I think)
14. I play drums just about every day.
15. I have the entire TWO SEASONS of "Joey" on DVD.
16. I have a cat named Paulie that has allergies, and just licks himself about 18 hrs a day.
17. My wife's grandparents lived on the other coast their whole lives, and moved to the house RIGHT NEXT DOOR two years ago.
18. My ENTIRE family (Grandparents, their kids, their kids, and all their kids) went on that Silver Lake Sand Dunes vacation for 20 years straight, and no one ever missed one.
19. I know nothing about HDTV, but every single person I know seems to think I'm a genius on it. My TV is 20 yrs. old.
20. I have Nextel for a cell phone provider, and am absolutely obsessed w/ the walkie talkie.
21. My wife and I became Disney Vacation Club members when we were 22.
22. I think that a kid that farts is the funniest thing ever.
23. I've never smoked, or drank anything in my life. (Other than lots of Mtn. Dew)
24. Logan's & Texas Roadhouse are my favorite restaurants.
25. Every Monday me and all my friends get together just to hang out and be "guys". That normally consists of lots of chicken wings, and a Dr. Mario tournament. I know, exciting huh!

6. my friends dad owned the bowling alley, and I was included on his team, for the handicap points my lack of skill would bring... and we won a bigass trophy
7. my dad never played ballgames with my brother and I, but taught us camping and boating skills instead, which have served my well
8. I always outswam my brother, and have swam to neighboring islands, or crossed mountain lakes without supervision (not smart)
9. in 6th grade I decided Jimi, Janis, and Jim Morrison were cool, though dead, and my hippie daze began
10. in 7th grade I had longass hair & sewed an eagle patch I made onto my jean jacket, surrounded by dozens of patches I bought in the head shops in Wisconsin dells on vacation
11. in 8th grade I quit the school band drum lessons I had taken for 3 years, and began playing my first drum set with 2 guitar players I knew
12. Our band Sarnath opened for a much older rock band at the high school, before we finished 8th grade, which made us feel famous
13. I maintained a high B average in H.S. with the respect of my teachers, while also maintaining a popularity among fans of our band & racking up 10 arrests for weed before adulthood
14. I've never been arrested as an adult, although I tried really really hard for many many years
15. I carved Led Zeppelin into Chicago's 13th precinct bench during the detour I took over there before seeing the band perform at the Chicago stadium in '76
16. I met my first wife at a Grateful Dead concert, followed by our move to the west coast & 5 years of counter culture veggie growing, cabin dwelling, craft swapping, baby raising nirvana
17. I eventually learned to not consider my divorce a failure & focus on the positives
18. I moved to hawaii in 1984 & studied architecture, maintaining a 4.0 GPA for 2 years while assisting as student tutor
19. I grew some meanass kolas in that same time period.
20. I had joint custody of my daughter with year on, year off cycles, for 10 years.
21. I hitch-hiked into NYC with $100 and the address of one aquaintence. I stayed a year, made $30k (in 80's dollars) and began my sign career.
22. After working as a corporate sign yuppie in Manhattan for a year, I quit, moved my luggage to my parents house, and went back to spend the last of my savings partying around Tompkins Square with the homeless and the squatters. When I ran out of money, I took over a city owned abandoned building in alphabet city (crack-town) with fellow squatters, and proceeded to improve our free lodging accommodations through midnight scavenges of Manhattan dumpsters for building materials which resulted in replacing concrete sealed entryways with steel framed locking doorways, and hotwired splicing of our buildings electricity into the city power system from down in the manhole on our street
23. After learning to snowboard in NY, I relocated to New Mexico to continue my co-parenting, get hired to continue learning the sign trade, and further my hobby of snowboarding

How do you hitch-kike from Hawaii?

I was on my "year off' of parenting, and had quit my architectural drafting job in Hawaii, to spend the first half of the summer with my then 9 yr old daughter. After flying her to her mom's, I joined my mom and dad for their summer vacation on a small island in a small lake in northern Ontario. I talked my dad into re-routing his return to Chicago through Buffalo NY, instead of Detroit MI, because it offered a closer place for me to jump out & start my adventure.
