:ROFLMAO:..... ha, it must be in the drinking water, huh ??
Bubbles in Lettering
Have a customer complaining about little bubbles in Avery cast cut vinyl lettering. The film is very thin and you can't see the bubbles from 6 feet away, but upon close inspection on some of the bigger letters you can see bubbles. Either from inconsistency in the paint job or maybe particles trapped. He wants them pulled off and reapplied without small bubbles. Since we were only charging a small amount to do the whole van, and this is the second time he has had us reprint letters because of little things that he wanted replaced. I don' t know how to handle the situation. We are definitely losing money on the job, and I can't guarantee there won't be any bubbles on the next letters. What to do?
Okay, this whole paragraph has so many twisted thoughts, it ain't even funny. When I see this kinda stuff, I first look at the OP's profile and try to get an understanding.
Soooo....... I did and I don't understated.
- Based upon all the stuff you claim you can do in your profile, you shouldn't be having bubble problems to the degree your customer is complaining, unless you're lousy.
- Next, what all went wrong the first time, that you ended up doing it a second time...... on your dime ??
- Further more, why are you working for beans ??
How and where are all these lowballers coming from ?? Has some spaceship landed with sign gooks on them ?? Has someone somewhere published a book of how to ruin an industry in 10 easy lessons ??
You want someone to tell you how to correct your mistakes and still look good, so you can re-charge for your mistakes ?? I don't know about the administration here or other sign shops on this site, but this stuff is just getting to be out-a-hand.
Why don't we just put together a curriculum on how to do certain things in the sign industry.... as our name suggests Signs 101 and have people pass a test before they start hurting innocent customers and asking questions here ??
I'm honestly at the point, I can't tell if these are backyard hacks, do-it-yourselfers or just p!ss poor sign people. This is the only thing that takes place anymore, besides font finding and where to buy cheap ink.
