How Many will be Closing Shop for Veterans Day?

I doubt any Veterans give a hoot whether I work Thursday or not.... but my vendors and mortgage company does.
I also worked Presidents Day... I do not think George W is over it yet.
So...
To all the veterans of fighting forces here & there I do hereby honor your service.
Now can I go back to work and make some money?
I have to make a big banner and a load of tee box sponsor coro signs for a Veterans of Foreign Wars Golf Tournament (due Friday, got the job last night, they still have not sent me sponsors list & art) to raise money for their youth programs. LOL! I hope THEY are working tomorrow and send me what I need to get their job done.
I do not want to have to call them up and tell them I missed the deadline because I spent all day Thursday honoring them over some beer & bratwurst.

What has 2 thumbs and isn't working tomorrow? This Guy. I got some rememberin' to do, followed by beer drikin' which will eventually lead to forgettin' and ultimately end up with me being late for work on Friday. My Grandpa (WWII) would be proud.

I wont be closing, but not a busy week since I wasnt supposed to be here this week. I will definitely be remembering our veterans.
I went with my Grandfather to the unveiling of the WW2 memorial in DC back 04. In all the times I have been with him, I had never seen him cry until then. I was in awe of him while he just stood there taking it all in. I could only imagine the memories running through his mind.
Not to take anything away from the Vietnam Memorial, but if a WW2 Memorial would have been made within the same time frame as the Vietnam Wall, the impact would have been in my opinion much stronger. I would have had 2 uncles if it wasn't for Vietnam.
The price they paid for our Country was remarkable. In no way can we truly show our gratitude to them. I may not support a reason we are at war but I will always support our troops on anything they do. If I could have, I would have been a Marine or in the Air Force.

We will close but do jobs for the shop. We were given some free advertising locations for the shop. A good day to create our own products. I have a spot on a Hockey bus, we donate to the Junior B team lots so they gave us a spot where ever I want and how ever big I want. We also donate to other sports and were given a spot at the rec centre for a 4' by 8'.

Why The attitude? I served our Country along with a few others on here it seems. What is wrong with me asking the community for their view on Veterans Day? A day Celebrating and Remembering those who Served?

but we are opened
funny story..well maybe not that funny but
when i was like 19 or 20 me and 2 other friends where signing up for the army to try and get some money to go to college they got in and i got rejected
here is the funny part because i am allergic to bees
i said to the recruiter " i am not allergic to bullets "
so my too friends ended up in desert storm like a year or so later
they where not too happy with me
but we are opened

No, I'm not closing. It's a bullshit holiday just like Memorial Day, Valentines Day, Groundhog Day, President's Day and Labor Day. If you really gave a shit about Veterans you'd show it all year long....not just one day a year.
